ATTENTION ALL 10th GRADERS AND ANY JUINOR OR SENIOR who hasn’t passed one or both sections of the CAHSEE! CAHSEE testing will be Tuesday March 12 and Wednesday March 13. We will have a special bell schedule those days. Please visit the CHS website to see the bell schedule. Students taking the CAHSEE will receive an invitation letting them know where to go to take the test. The invitations will be sent out Friday, March 8. If you are absent on Friday, your teacher will give you the invitation before the test dates. Students taking the test are encouraged to arrive to school at 7:45 am to give them plenty of time to find their testing location. Test takers should also have a healthy breakfast to fuel their mind and body.
Hey Cowboys, want to save a life? Now you can. The American Red Cross club are selling measles pins for a donation of $1. However, you can donate any amount of money you'd like, because for every 80 cents donated, one child in Africa will be vaccinated from Measles. Measles is a common and fatal disease, but can be easily be prevented with a simple vaccination. Please come up to any Red Cross member to donate. Donations will be received through Mar.11th.
DO YOU ENJOY designing, writing, math, physics, construction, and art? If the answer is yes, you might want to learn more about careers in the Engineering and Design Industry! Join us in the library at lunch on March 28th to hear about some opportunities available through COC to prepare for a career in Engineering and Design. Stop by the library to check out the architectural models on display. Program attendees may have the opportunity to earn extra credit for attending. (The library tables will be closed at lunch on the 28th for the presentation; be sure to make other study plans that day.)
ARE YOU TAKING THE SAT SOON? If so, you are encouraged to take a prep class that will help you succeed.
