AP STUDENTS:  All AP students must attend a MANDATORY Pre-Administration session in order to fill out all AP Exam paper work before testing.  The Pre-Administration session dates will be Thursday (May 3rd) at lunch time in the A-Lecture Hall.  Students MUST attend one of these sessions!!!

If you have any questions, please see Ms. Lavalle in The Counseling Office.

THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED DURING BOTH BRUNCHES ALL NEXT WEEK: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. This means students will not have access to the computer lab as well.  Please make other plans if you need a computer or access to textbooks.   The Library is also closed May 9 from 7am to 1:pm…for AP testing.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

AVID APPLICATIONS are now available!  Freshmen-sophomores: are you interested in attending a 4-year university immediately after high school?  Would you be the first in your family to attend college?  Would you like to receive extra help with challenging classes and be better prepared to excel in college?  Stop by E5 to meet with Ms. Jones for any further questions and to pick up an application!

CHOIR AUDITIONS are coming soon!  If you are interested in being part of Canyon's award-winning choirs you will have the opportunity to audition on May 21, 22, & 23 after school.  If you are already part of choir and would like to be in the Madrigals, the auditions will be May 17th.   Please sign up on Monday, April 30th in the choir room.

DANCE TRYOUTS ARE HERE!  If you've seen our awesome Canyon High Dance Team perform...if you want to be part of it...see Mrs. Arnold in room G-220 at lunch to pick up a flyer about the parent meeting and tryout dates.  Mandatory PARENT MEETING is TONIGHT at 7:00 pm in the Canyon High Library. TRYOUTS are on Saturday, MAY 12th at 11:00 in the auxiliary gym.

DO YOU LOVE TO DANCE? Do you love to hip-hop? Would you like to be able to take a dance or hip-hop class instead of PE? If so, come tryout for the Canyon High Dance Team. We have Beginning through Advanced opportunities in technical dance or hip-hop only. If interested, come find out more at the mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday May 2nd at 7:00 in the Canyon School Library. Hope to see you there!!

INCOMING JUNIORS, SENIORS AND GRADUATING SENIORS!

College of the Canyons is now accepting applications for the summer term!!  They are offering over 400 more sections than previous summer terms, so this is a great opportunity for incoming juniors, seniors and of course all graduating seniors.  The class schedule is now available on their website www.canyons.edu

**Please note that graduating seniors should plan carefully if they intend to take summer courses and apply to the FYE program.  They need to make sure they can attend a FYE Orientation Day (one day, all day) during the week of July 16th - 19th and should avoid taking English and math courses during the summer term.

*         Three sessions to choose from:  5-week, 6-week and 8-week sessions.

Session 1:            June 4th - July 5th  (5 week)

Session 2:            June 11th - August 2nd (8 week session)

Session 3:            June 18th - July 26th (6 week session)

*         New Student Registration begins May 3rd  (graduating seniors)

*         11th and 12th grade registration begins May 10th

To register for either, go to www.gotomyncf.com where you will get a bar-coded ticket.  Also watch the video about the fair so that you can decide what you want to do or see.  There will be college reps, workshops, one-on-one college counseling, and more.  There are flyers for both in the counseling office.
