                                                Passing=10:56-11:02               6 minutes

                                                Period 3=11:02-11:37             35 minutes

                                                Passing=11:37-11:43               6 minutes

                                                Period 4=11:43-12:18             35 minutes

                                                Passing=12:18-12:24               6 minutes

                                                Period 5=12:24-12:59             35 minutes

                                                Lunch=12:59-1:38                   39 min. lunch

GENERAL

AP STUDENTS:  Just a reminder that AP Testing kicks off Monday morning, May 3 with AP Government in BB1.  The last day of testing is Thursday May 13.  AP testing will occur in rooms BB1, BB2 and the library.  Students need to arrive by 7:45 am for morning tests and 12:30 pm for afternoon tests.  If you have questions about the testing schedule, please ask your AP teacher or visit The Counseling Office.  The AP Schedule will also be posted on the Canyon Website. 

AP STUDENTS:  All AP students must attend a MANDATORY Pre-Administration session in order to fill out all AP Exam paper work before testing.  The Pre-Administration session dates will be Tuesday, April 27th and Wednesday, April 28th at lunch time in the A-Lecture Hall.  Students MUST attend one of these sessions!!!  If you have any questions please see Ms. Lavalle in The Counseling Office.

AP STUDENTS:  Do you want to take a practice test for your AP exam?  Well then, go the library databases and login to the Gale Infotrac database.  Click on the Testing and Education Reference at the bottom of the page. Under High School Tools click on AP exams prep.  You will need to create a username and password before taking the test. Come to the library for the username and password for Gale Infotrac database.  You can access the website from home.

DO YOU HAVE TO PERFORM? DO YOU LOVE TO DANCE?  If you answered yes to either of these questions, YOU should think about joining color guard.  TODAY is the day!  Come to our clinic today from 3:30-5:30 in the band room.  If you don't know what color guard is or if you're not sure, at least come check it out!  Just wear your athletic shoes and come ready to try something new!  Please see Mrs. Palmer in the Q bldg. with questions!

HEY COWBOYS, there is a new AP class on campus. AP Art History is a fun class where no drawing is necessary. We'll learn who made Stonehenge and why is the Mona Lisa so famous? All while earning AP credit and Fine Art credit! Talk to your counselor or Ms. Hart in T-3 and sign up for the fall!

SENIORS

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS:  There is a $2000 scholarship for a Canyon student that will attend a 2 or 4 year college, has a GPA of 2.0 through a 3.0, and is a varsity letter winner.  Applications are in the counseling office and the deadline for this scholarship is May 7th. 

THERE IS ANOTHER $2000 scholarship for a Canyon student that will attend a 2 or 4 year college, has a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and plans to become a teacher.   Applications are in the counseling office and the deadline for this scholarship is May 7th.

GRAD RECORDINGS:  Seniors would you like to record a message that your friends and family will hear before graduation?  Then grab a slip outside of J-1, bring it back completed to Mrs. Ambrose with a dollar, and sign up for a day to record.  Please come prepared to do your recording.  The first people to record will hear their recordings closer to the star of graduation.
