GENERAL
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS GOING TO PROM- You need to be at Canyon and in your prom room on Sat by 5pm. Promenade will start after everyone is in their rooms. Don't forget your ID. You must have your ID to check into your room!
SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRESS REPORTS: If you would like to receive a supplemental progress report, please see Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office between 7:30am and 8:00am Friday morning to pick one up. If you have a 7:00am class, you may pick one up today after your last class.
ROP CLASSES AUG 2010: ANY STUDENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR AN ROP CLASS STARTING IN THE FALL OF 2010 NEEDS TO GO SEE MRS. OKRONICK NOW
THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY is hosting a dance marathon on May 15th. Go to Ms. King's room, G 105, or the ASB office to pick up your registration packet. All materials must be turned into room G 105 by May 7th.
CALLING ALL GAMERS!! Do you enjoy rocking out on Guitar Hero or Rock Band? Are you a fan of Mario Kart? Perhaps you like to play Apples to Apples or other board games. Well then you are in luck because Game Day is coming up soon. Game Day will take place on April 20th after 5th period. There will also be an awesome bake sale with homemade goodies, soda, water, and much more. Come to the Band Room (Q6) and see Mrs. Palmer to sign up. The cost is just $5.00, so don’t miss out on a fun-filled time of game playing.. See you there!
HEY COWBOYS!! The student talent rally is right around the corner! Sign-ups are posted outside the ASB Office now!!! Be sure to get your talent ready—auditions are April 29 and 30.

COC OPEN HOUSE: A special Open House at COC's Canyon Country campus has been scheduled for Thursday, April 22 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Take a campus tour, learn about financial aid, summer classes and meet with representatives from the counseling department. Stop by the Career Center for additional details!
DISCOVERING CAREERS DAY WORKSHOP: Would you like to learn about the publishing business? Interested in writing a novel? Our very own Mr. Smith will present a Publishing Careers Workshop at Discovering Careers Day this Saturday, April 17 at COC. Stop by the Career Center for details!
AIR FORCE VISITATION: Meet with representatives from the U.S. Air Force during second brunch on the outdoor stage on Thursday, April 15 and explore career opportunities in the Air Force.

NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY will hold a meeting TODAY at lunch in room T4. All members must attend, especially if you are a senior.
YOUNG POLITICIANS: The first April meeting of the Young Politicians club will be held today, at lunch, in A-6. Everyone is welcome. Today we will be discussing graduation as well as American foreign policy and other areas of interest. Bring your lunch and join us in A-6, today at lunch.
BIBLE STUDY: Is meeting in the Choir room at lunch.
STUDENT TASK FORCE: Is meeting in room G-201 at lunch.
COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL: There is a meeting Friday at lunch in U-7. Don’t forget to donate your loose change for the well –project to provide fresh water for a village in Africa.
SENIORS
ACADEMIC BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP: The ABC, which hosts the Academic Banquet each year, is granting several scholarships to seniors for academic achievement here at Canyon High School. Pick up an application in the Counseling office, and return it to Mrs. Smith by Thursday, May 6, 2010.
ENGLISH-LEARNERS ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP: Seniors who have participated in the EL Program here at Canyon are eligible to apply for this scholarship based on academic achievement. Pick up an application in the Counseling office, and return it to Mrs. Smith by Thursday, May 6, 2010.
