GENERAL
Any students who are registered or interested in AP studio art for the fall semester must attend a short informational meeting Wednesday at lunch in T2. You will receive important information about preparing your artwork and portfolio over the summer. All potential AP studio art students must attend this important meeting wed at lunch.
SANTA CLARITA TRANSIT CHANGE: Due to the construction at the Old Bowman Site, Santa Clarita Transit is going to close the south-bound stop on Whites Canyon, south of the intersection. The stop will be relocated for the next three weeks to south-bound Whites Canyon, north of the intersection. Alternately, if the sidewalk is open students may walk south and board the bus going south bound at White Canyon and Rainier.
FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORES: Do you speak Spanish? Are you interested in fulfilling your Foreign Language requirements? Come see Sra. Lopez Wednesday and Thursday during lunch in room BB2 to see if you can be placed in Accelerated Spanish class. ¡Nos vemos pronto!
DANCE TEAM ANNUAL SHOW IS HERE "At the Drive-in" will be on Saturday May 16th at 7:00pm in the main gym. Come and support our great dancers. Tickets will be $10 and $8 with ASB card. Please do not miss this amazing show.
DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS: Do you love to dance? Is dancing one of your favorite things to do? Would you like to join Canyon's Dance Team next year? Come and join us at our Try-outs on Wednesday, May 20th from 3:30-6:30pm in the Canyon dance room AA1. Please be on time!
In order to try out for the Dance Team, there is a mandatory parent meeting on Tuesday, May 19th at 6pm in Canyon High School's library. Any student who does not have a parent attend this meeting will not be able to try out. Parents should bring the completed Dance Team Application to this meeting. Parents will be provided with information about the dance team, clothing requirements for tryouts, optional purchases that would be supported by parents and fundraising, how the teams will work next year, etc. If you need a Dance Team Application, pick it up in room D5. Please keep in mind you will not be able to audition if your guardian does not attend this meeting and turn in the completed application.
ATTENTION ALL CSF members: We are recruiting officers for next year. If you're interested in running for office, stop by the library for an application by May 14th.
ACADEMIC AWARD WINNERS! If you were not able to attend the ceremony, please see Mrs. Nelson in the Assistant Principals office during BRUNCH or LUNCH ONLY to pick up your certificate. The deadline to pick up your certificate is June 4th. Congratulations!
MATH TUTORING after school on Thursday, May 14th, with Mrs. Denny is canceled this week. Come by on May 21st or May 28th for help in math.
HEY COWBOYS! Are you interested in a career in Law Enforcement? Would you like to learn more about the law and how laws are enforced? If so, LA Country Sheriff Explorers from the Community College bureau will be on campus this Friday, May 15 at lunch on the Outdoor Stage. Come by and visit their table and speak to them to learn more about what they do and what the program has to offer. You can also earn high school credits through the ROP program.
MEETINGS
ATTENTION COWBOYS: Club, YU-GI-OH, and Magic club is actively recruiting new members! Other board games available. Stop by G-117 and ask Mr. Clark for more details! We meet Wed and Friday in G-117 at lunch.
The last DFYIT meeting of the year will be held May 21 at lunch in H-1. We will be having pizza. If you plan to attend the meeting, it is very important that you let Mrs. Parks know by Monday May 18 so that we can make sure to order enough pizza. This meeting is only for students who have been DFYIT members this year.
ECO-CHICOS ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB meeting TODAY at lunch in room G-107.
If you are taking AP Environmental Science, APES, next year, there's a mandatory lunch meeting this Friday, May 15 at lunch in room G-107.

CSF MEMBERS! There will be a meeting in the library at lunch on Thursday, May 14, 2015. We will be electing officers for the 2015-2016 school year. See you there!
GSA is meeting this Thursday at lunch in room C-4. We will be making posters for Park Day which is May 21. Bring supplies if you can. See you there!
SENIORS
GRADUATING SENIORS: The senior graduation speech is back! If you would like to represent your senior class by presenting a speech at commencement, auditions will be on May 20 from 12:30 to 3pm. Sign up outside of the AP offices, where you can get more information. Good luck!
KEY CLUB: SENIORS!!! Your Key Club hours for the spring semester is due no later than May 15 to Mr. Lee’s room in V-1.
SENIOR FINAL TRANSCRIPTS DUE BY JUNE 4th. Request one be sent to all Universities and Colleges you are interested in attending, including COC. White request forms are located in front of the Registrar's Office. If you have any questions don't hesitate to come by and ask. Transcripts will be mailed out on June 18th.
SENIORS: ALL purchases can be made with cash, money orders, and credit cards only. NO checks please.
ATTENTION ALL SENIORS ATTENDING GRAD NIGHT! Permission slips are due TODAY by
1:00 pm in the ASB Office. The permission slips are necessary to attend Grad Night at Disneyland!
