GENERAL
DRESS CODE: Students are reminded about the dress code at Canyon High School. Crop tops, halter tops, low cut blouses, see-through or backless shirts and swim suit tops are NOT ALLOWED!! Also, gang styles, accessories, symbols and clothing modifications are NOT ALLOWED!! T-shirts with graphics which depict anti-social behavior, controlled substances, alcohol beverages, violence, or sexual activities are prohibited.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A PART OF THE AMAZING CANYON YEARBOOK STAFF FOR 2016? Yearbook is currently looking to this year's freshman and sophomores to apply. We are looking for students interested in journalism, photography and design to be a part of our team. Please get an application in the counseling office or from Mr. McCann in the T-building. Applications are due TOMORROW.
CHOIR AUDITIONS--Have you always wanted to learn to sing and be part of a big family? Have you always wanted to go to New York City? Have you dreamt about singing in Carnegie Hall? Well, here is your opportunity. Choir will be doing all of those things next year. However, you must audition to be part of this great experience. Auditions will be May 19th & 20th beginning at 2:15 p.m. Sign ups for an audition time will be next week.
ATTENTION SOCIAL STUDIES STUDENTS FOR NEXT YEAR: If you are taking or interested in taking AP Euro, History, Economics or Government, there is a meeting you must attend at lunch on one of the following days - Thursday April 30th, OR Friday, May 1st. If you cannot make one of those days, please go see Ms. Cooper in B-8.

THE CANYON ROLEPLAYING CLUB will be meeting in room K-3 from 3-7 this Friday, May 1st to play the Pathfinder roleplaying system. If students are interested in GMing games, please come to see Mr. Milasich in room K-3 by Wednesday at lunch.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS has openings for nominations for officer positions. Please speak to our advisor in E-4 or a current officer to learn more and sign up to become an officer. We will hold elections May 5, so attendance is mandatory. Hope to see you there…

SENIORS: As of May 4th ALL purchases can be made with cash, money orders, and credit cards only. NO checks please.
THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS FOR MALE ATHLETES WITH A 2.5 TO 3.5 CUMALATIVE GPA. If you are also planning on attending college or trade school, visit the counseling office for an application for the Tim and Danny Renolds Memorial Scholarship. This simple application could get you a $500 award! Application deadline is May 7th. Get your application today!
SENIORS- If you are a student planning on pursuing a career in the performing arts, there is currently a scholarship available in the Counseling Office for you! The Canyon Theater Guild is offering two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors. Application deadline is TODAY so act fast!
THE FIL-AM ASSOCIATION OF SCV, INC. is announcing a search for candidates for the Jose Rizal Scholastic Achievement Award consisting of three scholarships: $1000, $500 & $250. Applicants must be of Filipino descent whose parent(s) reside and/or are employed in the SCV. Students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and be involved in extracurricular activities in school, community or any of the association's projects or events. If you meet the criteria, please visit the Counseling Office for an application form. The application is due May 15, 2015.
