GENERAL

PROM TICKET SALES: Buy your Prom tickets before, school, after school, brunch or lunch.        March 31- April 1-- Price is $255 per couple FLAT RATE.  Single tickets sold for ½ couple price. 

THE MATH SCAVENGER HUNT IS TODAY!!!!  Show up with your team on the boy's side of the gym at lunch.  This is a race so be there as early as you can.  The first three teams to win get prizes!!

HEALTH OFFICE:  When you are ill, you must get a pass from your teacher to come up to the Health Office.  It is there that contact will be made with your parents/guardians to arrange for you to go home.  DO NOT CALL OR TEXT your parents or guardians from the classroom expecting to be summoned to the Health Office.

ATTENTION  ATHLETES --who want to participate in the CHS summer camps.  Registration packets are now available in the ASB office.  Please complete ASAP if you want to participate.

MATH HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS!  Are you interested in being an officer next year?  Do you like planning events, keep track of money or coming up with new ideas?  If so, come by G216 and pick up an officer application.  Applications are due Friday, April 3rd with interviews scheduled April 15th through April 17th.  Sign up for an interview date and time when you turn in your application.  

MEETINGS

ANIME CLUB:  Come to room K-4 during lunch today and join the Anime Club!  Here we will learn about

Here we will learn about our favorite stories, learn how to draw Anime, and have a terrific time!  Everyone is welcome!  See you there!

STAND UP AND SPEAK UP: Meets  every Tuesday at lunch in B-Lecture Hall.

 

ECO-CHICOS ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB meeting is this Wed at lunch in room G-107.

 

SENIORS

 

Are you planning on attending College of the Canyons in the fall of 2015?  If you are, please consider attending College Day on Friday, April 24th.  College of the Canyons will provide expert guidance on getting started, how to earn priority registration, workshops on assessment preparation, transfer requirements, classroom expectations, campus involvement and much more!  Bus transportation from Canyon High School to College of the Canyons will be provided, and it is mandatory for you to ride the bus in order to attend the fieldtrip.   Lunch will be provided. 

Please sign-up in the Counseling Office and pick up a fieldtrip permission slip. 

There are only 150 spots and its first come first serve.

Busses will leave Canyon High School at 8:15am and return at 1:15pm. 

                                   Fieldtrip Forms are due on April 3rd 

SENIORS:  If you have a 2.5 GPA and attended school in the Santa Clarita Valley for at least 7 years (including at least one year at the elementary school level) you should apply for the $500 ASCA Scholarship. A link for the application can be found on Canyon's website, on the Counseling Blog and

THE CUBAN-AMERICAN TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION (CATA) is offering a $500 scholarship to a student of Cuban descent interested in continuing their education at the college level. The student must speak Spanish and demonstrate an interest in their cultural heritage. Applications are due April 10, 2015. Please visit the Counseling Office for an application.
