GENERAL
HEY ALL CSF MEMBERS: The due date for dues has been extended to this Friday, February 20. As always, dues will be collected in the library at lunch all this week! Thank you!
ATHLETIC BAGS: ARE NO LONGER allowed to be stored in the Office. Talk to your coach about getting a sports locker or storing your bag in the coach’s classroom. Thank you for your cooperation.
WINTER FORMAL PICTURES ARE IN, please pick up in the ASB classroom before school, brunch, and lunch only.
HEALTH OFFICE: When you are ill, you must get a pass from your teacher to come up to the Health Office. It is there that contact will be made with your parents/guardians to arrange for you to go home. Do not call or text your parents or guardians from the classroom expecting to be summoned to the Health Office.
ASVAB TESTING: Canyon will be hosting the ASVAB test on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. The test will be given in the Library starting at 8:00 am. Taking the ASVAB while in high school is the only time students can take the ASVAB as a skills and vocational assessment test. The test is available for sophomores, juniors and seniors only. If you are looking to find your academic strengths, possible future career options or are interested in exploring the military, this is a great time to take advantage of this FREE opportunity on our campus. Please sign-up in the counseling office ASAP to reserve your spot, as spaces are limited. The LAST day to sign up will be Friday, February 27, 2015.
CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION (CHSPE): The California High School Proficiency Examination will be administered on March 21, 2015. The registration deadline is February 20, 2015, and the cost is $110.00. This exam is for students interested in an alternative to graduating from high school so they can move ahead to higher education or prepare for a career. You can earn the legal equivalent of a high school diploma by proving your proficiency in basic skills though the CHSPE exam. You must be 16-years old, or if 15, just completed your 10th grade year.
