GENERAL

 

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM—Our Cowboys start CIF playoffs this Friday, November 14, when they travel to Vista Murrieta High School.  General admission is $10, Student/Child admission is $5.00.  Student ticket –you MUST show High School ID.  Child tickets are ages 5-13 years old.  GOOD LUCK COWBOYS!

 

MORE INFORMATION/RULES FOR THE GAME FRIDAY:  Vista Murrieta charges (in most of their lots) for parking.  The cost is $3.00 per car.  Only sealed bottles of water are allowed in.  The South side of the stadium is for visitors only.  are allowed. 

 

CSUN FIELD TRIP IS TODAY:  If you signed up and paid for this trip, please meet at 8:45 am this morning in the front school parking lot.  Don't forget to bring your lunch or money to purchase one. 

 

KEY CLUB MEMBERS:  Did you lose a jacket at the last meeting?  Please see Mrs. Nelson in the Assistant Principals Office to claim it.

 

SPRING MUSICAL AUDITIONS are coming up on Wednesday Nov 19th!! An important informational meeting will be held on Mon Nov. 17th in the B-Lecture Hall at lunch.

 

COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS - Careers on the Go Workshop - Great way for students to find out information directly from professionals in the industry. Water Technology - Thursday, Nov. 13th, 2014 - 6:00PM-7:30PM -  Valencia Campus - Mentry Hall Room 343.

MEETINGS

The CERAMICS CLUB!!!!  First meeting is on Thursday at LUNCH Room T-3. You must have had Ceramics or currently in Ceramics to be in the club!  

COME TO FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES.  We meet every Wednesday in room G206.

ECO CHICOS ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB meeting is TODAY at lunch in room G-107.

 

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB, YU-GI-OH and Vanguard and other board games meets every Wednesday in G-117.  Bring your lunch.  Questions, see Mr. Clark in G-117.

 

TRUTH BE TOLD meets every Wednesday in room A-7.  Everyone is invited.

SENIORS--COLLEGE APPLICATION HELP:  If you plan to apply to a UC or CSU school, the deadline is November 30.  The counselors are available all this week during 7th period in the library to help you apply.  There is a signup sheet in the counseling office.  The counselors will help you with any online application.  Please make sure to apply early!! If you are still having trouble deciding which schools would be a good match for you, please come to these sessions.  We can help with that too!

 

SENIORS- The Stokes Educational Scholarship will be awarded to students planning on majoring in computer science or computer/electrical engineering. Minority students are particularly encouraged to apply. Scholarship recipients will receive paid tuition up to $30, 000 per year, a year-round salary, and guaranteed employment.
