GENERAL

Dress Code Alert:

The following are dress code violations that have been observed on campus:

(1)    Clothing with undergarments showing

(2)    Strapless tops

(3)    Shirts that do not completely cover the torso - (Belly showing)

(4)    Clothing with references to drugs or alcohol

(5)    Clothing with depictions of weapons

(6)            Excessively short shorts

Remember that students with clothing that violates the Dress Code will be required to change into alternate loaner items. 

ATTENTION ALL CURRENT CSF MEMBERS!  Hours for this Spring semester are due no later than Friday, May 30.  Please drop them in the box on the counter in the library. 

YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION will take place in the aux gym today from 2-3:30. Please bring your ID card to claim your book.

The library will be closed ALL DAY this Friday, May 30th for the Mod Civ Cultural Gallery project. Students will not have access to the library or the computers in the lab. We apologize for the inconvenience.

LAST NIGHT at the 19th Annual ROP Performance Class Awards, two Canyon students were named award winners.  Congratulations to Marco Muedano, who won the Best in Improvisation Award, and to Alyssa Sanchez who took Best Actress honors.  If you are interested in this ROP Acting Class which provides ten credits toward graduation, see Mrs. Gaines in the ROP Office before this August Class fills up.

STUDENTS, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARK IN THE NORTH OAKS PARKING LOT -- this is short term parking for park use and childcare parents.  If you park there during the school day, you will be cited.  Also, students who do not have parking permits are not allowed to park in the student parking lot -- you will also be cited.  Those who do park in the lot, please be aware of the construction equipment and traffic as they work on the track and field.  Be sure to follow the directions of the safety personnel.  Thank you for your cooperation. 

NO STUDENT SUMMONS DURING FINAL EXAMS:  STUDENTS please note there are NO student summons delivered during Final Exams.  Please do NOT call your parents and ask them to excuse you early for any reason.  The Attendance Office WILL NOT deliver student summons during Final Exams to remove you from class.  ALL students need to stay during the entire final exam period out of respect for all the other classes in exams. 

LOCKER ROOM: All users of our locker room please have everything out of the locker room and locks returned by the end of the day on June 6.  Remaining locks will be taken off, delinquencies filed for missing locks and items donated.

ACADEMIC CEREMONY CERTIFICATES:  If you did not attend the ceremony, please come to the Assistant Principals Office beginning TODAY to pick yours up during period 1, period 7, BRUNCH and LUNCH only.  Do NOT come during class time.

YEARBOOKS:  There are a few Award winning Yearbooks left.  They are $100 each.  Purchase one in the ASB Office---First come, First serve. 

MATH HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS!  TODAY we'll have our end of the year game party.  Sign up to bring goodies to G216.  Bring a game on Tuesday or choose one from our game closet.  Hope to see you there!

SUMMER SPORTS:  Pick up packets for the summer sports program in the Front Office or the ASB Office.  When completed turn them into the ASB Office.

HEY THERE!!  LIKE CHOCOLATE??  Well, your Canyon Choirs are selling World’s Finest Chocolates every day in the A-Lecture Hall after school.  So come and buy a bar or two, they are a dollar each!

MEETINGS

ANIME CLUB is meeting today in room G-220. Hope to see you there!

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and YU-GI-OH Club meet every Wednesday and Friday and G-117.  Bring your lunch. Questions ask Mr. Clark

HEY COWBOYS—THE LAST GSA MEETING is Thursday, May 29 at lunch in room C-4!  Please come and join us so we can appreciate all the people who have supported the club this year, and party!  Also, if you would like to apply to be an officer, please see a current officer ASAP! 

POLITICAL DEBATE CLUB:  The NEXT Political Debate Club meeting will be on Friday, August 22 in room E-1.

SENIORS

ATTENTION SENIORS: Just a reminder that “Final Transcript” requests can be turned in anytime, but no later than Friday, June 6th – the last day of the school year, in order for us to mail them out on time by June 18^th.  If you have any questions, you are welcome to stop by the Registrar’s Office.
