GENERAL
ATTENTION NHS MEMBERS: There is an emergency meeting for all senior members of National Honors Society TODAY at lunch. It is imperative that you attend this lunch meeting. We are serious. Really you must attend. Not joking. See you on Monday at lunch in Mr. Cuny's room.
THE SHOE CREW is having a fundraiser at EVEREST today. Help us provide shoes for kids in need!
X WEEK IS HERE!! Today is tobacco and marijuana awareness day. The pledge banner will be up at lunch on the stage. Tomorrow is prescription drug awareness day. So wear orange to support your awareness on this growing trend of abuse of prescription drugs. It is also sock it to drugs days so wear your craziest socks.
AP ECONOMICS REVIEW: If you took AP Economics in the fall semester and are planning on taking the AP Exam next month, Mr. Smith will be conducting AP reviews every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch in room A-5. The reviews will begin on Monday, April 21, and run thru Wednesday, May 14.
SUMMER SPORTS: Pick up packets for the summer sports program in the Front Office or the ASB Office. When completed turn them into the ASB Office.
CHOIR AUDITIONS ARE COMING! Would you like to be part of something really special at Canyon, something that feels like a family? Canyon High School has one of the best and most unified choirs in the Hart district. If you would like to be part of the Men's or Women's Chamber Ensembles, the Concert Choir or Madrigals, you need to audition. Auditions will be May 7th & 8th in the A Lecture Hall. Sign up on the door of the A Lecture Hall. Come be part of the groups that traveled to Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia this year!
COLLEGE FAIR: There will be a mandatory lunch meeting TODAY for the students who are planning to attend the College Fair on May 1st with the Counseling department. The meeting will be held in the Q Theater We will register you for the fair, give you tips on colleges to visit, and give you instructions for lunch and arrival times. If you can't make this meeting, please make sure to see Mrs. Goller in the counseling office before April 30th.
THE HART ROP CAREER INTERNSHIP CLASS is now taking applications for the summer session. Students do an unpaid internship and will earn up to five credits for the semester. The internship class is designed for students who have a strong interest in a career field and ideally have taken an elective or ROP class in the related area. Internships are available in marketing, journalism, video production, photography, fashion design, physical therapy, engineering and culinary. Students are not limited to this list and can suggest another industry and get approval from the District. Good grades and attendance record are mandatory requirements to apply.
The class runs from June 18 July 30. The class takes place outside of summer school hours and students need to provide their own transportation. Applications are due by May 16. For more information or to register for the course, students should contact their ROP Specialist.

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and YU-GI-OH Club meet every Wednesday and Friday and G-117. Bring your lunch. Questions ask Mr. Clark
COME GET YOUR CLUB ON!! Your Bible club, that is! There will be fantastabular conversations about the Bible and related topics. Come this Thursday at lunch to the A Lecture Hall.
HEY COWBOYS: There will be a GSA meeting at lunch Thursday at lunch in room C-4.
POLITICAL DEBATE CLUB: Meets every Friday at lunch in room E-1.
SENIORS
THE RENOLDS FAMILY is offering a $500 scholarship for a male athlete with a GPA of 2.5 to 3.5 that intends to go to a trade school, community college, or university. If you are interested, please pick up an application in the counseling office. The deadline for this scholarship is May 7th.
