GENERAL
ARE YOU STILL INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR YEARBOOK STAFF? Applications are available in the counseling office, but they must be submitted to Mr. McCann by April 30th. Interviews will be conducted during lunch the following week so please get your applications in ASAP. We look forward to having you on yearbook staff.
COLLEGE FARIR: There will be a mandatory lunch meeting on Monday, April 28th for the students who are planning to attend the College Fair on May 1st with the Counseling department. The meeting will be held in G-228. We will register you for the fair, give you tips on colleges to visit, and give you instructions for lunch and arrival times. If you can't make this meeting, please make sure to see Mrs. Goller in the counseling office before April 30th.
THEATRE PRESENTS OUR FIRST ANNUAL "COFFEE HOUSE VARIETY NIGHT" this Friday April 25th at 7 PM. $5 gets you in the door for an evening of comedy, singing, dancing, slam poetry, monologues, and musicians...and if you're feeling bold, join them during our 30 minute open mic. Bring extra cash for concessions, Starbucks, and our 50/50 raffle.
CHOIR AUDITIONS ARE COMING! Would you like to be part of something really special at Canyon, something that feels like a family? Canyon High School has one of the best and most unified choirs in the Hart district. If you would like to be part of the Men's or Women's Chamber Ensembles, the Concert Choir or Madrigals, you need to audition. Auditions will be May 7th & 8th in the A Lecture Hall. Sign up on the door of the A Lecture Hall. Come be part of the groups that traveled to Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia this year!
SUMMER SPORTS: Pick up packets for the summer sports program in the Front Office or the ASB Office. When completed turn them into the ASB Office.
AP ECONOMICS REVIEW: If you took AP Economics in the fall semester and are planning on taking the AP Exam next month, Mr. Smith will be conducting AP reviews every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch in room A-5. The reviews will begin on Monday, April 21, and run thru Wednesday, May 14.
THE UCLA BLOOD DRIVE IS BACK: The blood drive will be held on Thursday April 24. Sign up in Mr. Cuny's room, C-6. For giving blood you get a cookie and a free movie ticket. Be brave, give blood, and save a life. Go to Mr. Cuny's room, C-6, during brunch and lunch to sign-up.

BELIEVE CLUB: Is meeting TODAY in room F-2---Come join us for some fun Christian activities!
THURSDAY AT LUNCH IS THE BIBLE CLUB in the A Lecture Hall. Come and hear our guest speaker this week, Ricky Stoner. Come and see what he has to say and have some fabulous home-baked goodies. Everyone is welcome!
CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and YU-GI-OH Club meet every Wednesday and Friday and G-117. Bring your lunch. Questions ask Mr. Clark
POLITICAL DEBATE CLUB: Meets every Friday at lunch in room E-1. New members always welcome!
SENIORS
SENIORS: If you would like to represent your class by giving a speech at graduation, auditions will be held on May 14 from 8 to 9 am and from 1 to 3 pm. You can pick up information outside of the Assistant Principals' offices, where there will also be a sign up sheet. One applicant will be selected. Sign up early to get your preferred time slot. See Dr. Keyne if you have any questions. Good luck!
SENIOR STARS: If you have been accepted to a 4-year college or university and plan on attending that school in the fall, please see Mrs. Hettema in the counseling office. We will make a star in your honor and place it on the Senior Stars bulletin board outside of the counseling office. Also, if you have received notice of any scholarships or awards, please let Mrs. Hettema know.
