GENERAL

 

SUMMER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE. If you are planning on going to summer school at Golden Valley, you must print out the forms.  The forms can be found on the counseling blog, canyoncounselor.blogspot.com.  You will find "summer school forms" as a permanent link on the right hand side.

 

If you are planning on attending Opportunities for Learning (OFL), please see your counselor.  They have the forms you need.

 

All of summer school is based on a first come, first placed basis.  Don't procrastinate.  Get your paperwork in as soon as possible to guarantee a spot!

 

If you have any questions, please stop by the Counseling Office.  We would love to help you.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS AND JUNIORS--Prom Tickets are on sale!!  Hurry and buy your tickets today!!  Ticket prices are $200 per couple with an ASB card and $210 without.  Prices go up next week.

SENIORS

SENIOR STARS:  If you have been accepted to a 4-year college or university and plan on attending that school in the fall, please see Mrs. Hettema in the counseling office.  We will make a star in your honor and place it on the Senior Stars bulletin board outside of the counseling office.  Also, if you have received notice of any scholarships or awards, please let Mrs. Hettema know.

 

ATTENTION SENIORS:  PROM SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION: Only Canyon Seniors may apply.  Pick up an application from Mrs. Aguilar (registrar’s office windows) and return the application to her by March 31.  The winner will receive a prom bid for two persons to attend Canyon’s Prom, Diamonds Are Forever” on April 19, (Prize valued at $200).

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP:  The Santa Clarita Valley Association of School Administrators is offering a scholarship to one Canyon Senior.  In order to apply you need to have at least a 2.5 GPA, have plans to attend a college or program after graduation, and have attended schools in Santa Clarita for at least seven years.

A LOT OF STUDENTS PLAN ON GOING TO COLLEGE.  But did you know that you can go to PRE-College?  That means you can go to art programs and space camps, take college courses and GET COLLEGE CREDITS from top-ranked universities AND even travel the country to go to college programs for HIGH SCHOOL students.  You can meet students from all over the world!
