TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO BUY A PARKING PERMIT: They are $10 and paperwork is in the ASB Office.
STUDENTS: Please be advised that effective immediately, parents are being asked to pull all the way forward in the horseshoe when dropping students off, and only to drop off students in the lane that is adjacent to the curb.. We are asking you not to get out in the lane that is not on the curb, not to cross in front of traffic at any time, not to get dropped off in the middle of the street,to use the crosswalks, and to arrive and get home safely.
OPERATION US: Permission slips for our March 6th presentation at Pine Tree are due to Ms. Mast in E3 by the end of lunch TODAY!
MEETINGS
ROP- COSMETOLOGY: There will be an information meeting for students interested in the ROP cosmetology program on Wednesday, March 5th at 1:00 in the ROP/Counseling office. Applications for current juniors will be made available at that time
POKEMON CLUB: Gotta catch ‘em all! Pokemon Club is taking it’s yearbook photo in B-6 during brunch on Monday, March 3. Mandatory meeting!!! We are also accepting new members if you love Pokemon. Hope to battle you there!
POLITICAL DEBATE CLUB: The Political Debate Club meets every Friday at lunch in E-1, New members always welcome.
FCA Meeting in room G-206 at lunch on Friday. Come and check it out. All are welcome.
CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and YU-GI-OH Club meet every Wednesday and Friday and G-117. Bring your lunch. Questions ask Mr. Clark

SENIORS
SENIORS: The deadline to complete the FAFSA is March 2nd. The Canyon Counseling Dept. has already sent your GPA verifications to the State. You do not need any forms signed by us. Please make sure to meet this very important deadline. If you have questions about specific items on the FAFSA, please call the free assistance line at 1-800-433-3243.
THE CALIFORNIA ALARM ASSOCIATION is offering $40,000 in scholarships to seniors with a parent or guardian that is a full time member of a law enforcement agency. If you have a parent or guardian that is a full time paid or volunteer member of a fire department you are also eligible to apply. Please pick up an application in the counseling office. Applications must be postmarked by March 31st.
THE BACKER SCV EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP is for students that are interested in becoming teachers. If you plan to be an educator, please come up to the counseling office and pick up a scholarship application. Applications must be mailed by March 14th.
THE JACOB ZAMORA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION is offering a scholarship for a senior with a GPA from 2.5 to 3.4. If you meet this criteria, please pick up an application in the counseling office. The applications are due to Mrs. Goller by 3 pm on March 11th.
SENIORS: If your parent or guardian is a classified staff member of the Hart District, The California School Employees Association is offering a $250 scholarship that is just for you! Please pick up an application in the counseling office. The application is due back to Mrs. Goller by March 7th.
