GENERAL

BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS: 

CANYON BOYS PLAY AT HOME TONIGHT @ 7:00

CANYON GIRLS PLAY AT HOME TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY @ 7:00

There is a charge for the Boys and Girls Basketball games. 

BASKETBALL TICKET PRICES:

GENERAL $8.00

STUDENT (with high school ID) $5.00

CHILD (5 to 13 years old) $5.00

ATTENTION CANYON HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS ATHLETES:

If you are in an athletic class and your sport has ended, that does not mean you may leave campus during 7th period.  Your athletic class is still counted in attendance and for a grade, so only excused absences allow you to leave campus.  Do not try to exit through the main office or through the gates by showing your winter sport sticker.  Lower level athletes must check in with the varsity team to watch practice or work in the designated meeting spot.

THE LIBRARY will be closed 1st period Thursday and Friday this week for a class. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

POLITICAL DEBATE CLUB is sponsoring the KEEP ON GRUBBIN truck at Food Day this Wednesday, February 26.  They are serving grilled cheese, hot dogs, chili dogs and combos. 

ACADEMY OF THE CANYONS:  You can earn college credits now and get a jump start on your future.  Make a change and be a part of a unique, rewarding high school experience!  If you would like to learn more about Academy of the Canyons Middle College High School, you and your parents are invited to

attend an information meeting on Wednesday, February 26 in the COC University Center Room 258 at 7:00 p.m.

MEETINGS

OPERATION US: All members need to attend our meeting TODAY/ Tues. 2/25 at lunch in E3. We are presenting at Leona Cox this week and Pinetree the next!

HEY COWBOYS! The next GSA meeting is this Thursday at lunch in Room C-4, bring a friend and come get a summit application form, the date has changed so come for the update! Hope to see you there!

ANIME CLUB is meeting today in room G-220. Hope to see you there!"

BELIEVE CLUB:  Believe Club is meeting on Wednesday at lunch in room F-2.

SPEECH AND DEBATE team will be meeting every Wednesday at lunch in room E-5.

COME GET YOUR CLUB ON!  Your Bible club, that is!  There will be home-baked goodies and fantastabular conversations about the Bible and related topics.  Come this Thursday at lunch to the A Lecture Hall.

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and YU-GI-OH Club meet every Wednesday and Friday and G-117.  Bring your lunch. Questions ask Mr. Clark

SENIORS

SENIORS: The deadline to complete the FAFSA is March 2nd.  The Canyon Counseling Dept. has already sent your GPA verifications to the State.  You do not need any forms signed by us.  Please make sure to meet this very important deadline.  If you have questions about specific items on the FAFSA, please call the free assistance line at 1-800-433-3243.

THE BACKER SCV EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP is for students that are interested in becoming teachers.  If you plan to be an educator, please come up to the counseling office and pick up a scholarship application.  Applications must be mailed by March 14th.

THE JACOB ZAMORA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION is offering a scholarship for a senior with a GPA from 2.5 to 3.4.  If you meet this criteria, please pick up an application in the counseling office.  The applications are due to Mrs. Goller by 3 pm on March 11th.

SENIORS: If your parent or guardian is a classified staff member of the Hart District, The California School Employees Association is offering a $250 scholarship that is just for you!  Please pick up an application in the counseling office.  The application is due back to Mrs. Goller by March 7th.
