FREE SAT, ACT, OR PSAT PRACTICE TEST: C2 Education in Valencia will be providing FREE SAT, ACT, or PSAT practice tests on Monday, February 17 (President’s Day Holiday) at 11:00am at their location in Valencia. To register, please email student’s name, school, grade, phone number and preferred test to [email protected]. For more information, you may pick up a flyer in the counseling office.

ACADEMY OF THE CANYONS MEETINGS: AOC is a unique Hart District high school for the mature student seeking a challenging and rewarding educational experience that combines high school and college. Students attend both high school and college classes and have the opportunity to complete one year or more of college tuition free! 9th-11th graders interested must attend one of two mandatory informational meetings with a parent. Applications will be distributed at the meetings. The dates for these 7:00 pm meetings are Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the COC University Center 258 and Thursday, Feb. 27, at Valencia High School MPR. If you would like more information, please come to the Counseling Office to pick up an informational flyer.
HEALTH OFFICE: When you are ill, you must get a pass from your teacher to come up to the Health Office. It is there that contact will be made with your parents/guardians to arrange for you to go home. Do not call or text your parents or guardians from the classroom expecting to be summoned to the Health Office.
STUDENTS requesting off campus passes please bring a note from a parent and take it to the attendance office before school, at brunch or lunch to receive your permit to leave. If you do not have a note...parents must call the office in the morning and request a pass.
DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL SOMEONE FOR WHOM YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO SOMETHING SPECIAL? Valentine’s Day is just the time and the choirs want to help you out. Send your special someone a Val-o-gram. For $7, you can send a singing telegram, a flower, and a chocolate lollipop. Just look for the choir students who wear hearts saying that they sell Val-o-grams or come to A-Lecture Hall at brunch or lunch. Make this Valentine’s Day something to remember.
THE CANYON ARTS DEPARTMENT is holding our 3rd annual Career in Arts week. We have a composer, sound engineer, ceramic artist and many others coming to share their experiences and explain how they have succeeded in their exciting careers. Please see a fine arts teacher for more information.

THE ROLE PLAYING CLUB will be meeting in g-107 to play the pathfinder roleplaying system on Friday February 7 from 3-7 pm. New players are welcome!"

COME GET YOUR CLUB ON! Your Bible club, that is! There will be home-baked goodies and fantastabular conversations about the Bible and related topics. Come TODAY at lunch to the A Lecture Hall. This week, we will have a guest speaker, so come and hear what this person has to say!
ATTENTION MEMBERS OF “A Little Goes a Long Way”! Our yearbook photo will be taken next Tuesday, February 11th, at lunch! Meet at room D-4 at the beginning of lunch to be in the photo. If you do not show up for the photo, you will not be included as a member of the club. Stop by room D-4 if you have any questions!
SENIORS
THE BACKER SCV EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP is for students that are interested in becoming teachers. If you plan to be an educator, please come up to the counseling office and pick up a scholarship application. Applications must be mailed by March 14th.
