GENERAL
PLEASE NOTE: NO STUDENT SUMMONS DURING FINAL EXAMS: STUDENTS please note, there are NO student summons delivered during Final Exams. Please do NOT call your parents and ask them to excuse you early for any reason. The Attendance Office WILL NOT deliver student summons during Final Exams to remove you from class. ALL students need to stay during the entire final exam period out of respect for all the other classes in exams
TEXTBOOK CENTER all textbooks for single semester classes are due by Thursday, December 19th. These are the books for classes you will not be taking second semester. Also due by this date are all class novels. You will not be able to check out your second semester books until these are turned in. If you have any questions see Mrs. Kulesz in textbook center.
OPERATION US: If you would like to be involved in Operation US next semester you need to attend a brief meeting TODAY at lunch in E3. All members must attend. See Ms. Mast in E3 if you have any questions or concerns.
SPRING MUSICAL AUDITIONS are coming up TODAY! An important informational meeting will be held today in the B-Theatre at lunch giving an overview the audition process.
MEETING TOMORROW in room D7 for all students going to COSTA RICA with Señora Lewis.
There will be a meeting for LACROSSE CLUB members and others interested in playing on Wednesday, Dec 11th at lunch in Room K-3.
HEY COWBOYS! Come support your choir and come to our concert on December 17 th and 18th at Golden Valley High School at 7:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now in the A-Lecture Hall for $7 without an ASB card or $5 with an ASB Card or for senior citizens; children 10 and younger get in free. Find a choir
student to purchase tickets from or come to the A-Lecture Hall! It’s a night you won’t want to miss!!!
At the 18th Annual R O P Acting Awards were handed out and Three Canyon Seniors walked away winners. Cody Dupuis was named Best Actor; Alli Barton won Best Character Actress; and Andrew Taban was given the Best Leader Ever Award for his work this semester. The new ROP Performance Class will start in January and will earn you ten credits. If you are interested, see Mrs. Gaines in the R O P Office."
ROSES ARE RED—VIOLETS ARE BLUE you should buy a Winter Gram for you special someone too! Winter Grams are on sale now for $2. Find any ASB member to purchase one. Distribution will be on December 13. Every gram comes with a candy cane and balloon!
DO YOU LIKE TO LAUGH? Then come to the SKETCH SHOW—this Friday the 13th at the “Q” Theatre. Tickets are $5.00 and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. Don’t be a square, be there!!!
“A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY” is having its 2nd annual Holiday Talent Show. Come see fellow classmates showcase their talents while raising money for the Castaic Animal Shelter. The talent show will be put on Thursday, December 12th and Friday, December 13th, at 6:30 p.m. in the B-Lecture hall. Presale tickets are being sold in room D-4, for $10, starting December 4th. Tickets will be $15 at the door. Stop by D-4 for more information.
ALL PHYSICAL EDUCATION STUDENTS and student athletes please stick to the following time line for Locker room clean out: ALL LOCKS will be removed and contents of lockers will be donated to needy families at the end of the school day on December 19. PE classes will turn in locks and clean out lockers the week of December 16-19.
WINTER FORMAL tickets are on sale. Tickets start at $70 per couple w/ASB cards and $80 per couple w/o ASB. Prices go up Monday, December 16. Paperwork is available outside ASB.
MEETINGS
HEY COWBOYS! Come to the last and final GSA Meeting of this semester tomorrow at lunch in Room C-4! We will be having a potluck party so please bring something if you can, if you can’t please still come! Bring friends!!! Also we are having a fundraiser on the 16th and 17th for our GSA and to support our local PFLAG at the Habit on Golden Valley Road from 4-9 pm. Please come and get fliers in Room C-4, the B-Lecture Hall, and in the Counselors Office.
BOYS TENNIS TEAM is meeting at lunch TODAY in room F-1 with Coach Yong.

BIBLE CLUB--Every Thursday at lunch, the Bible Club will meet in the A Lecture Hall. We'll have food and great discussions about the Bible and life. Come and meet some great people and be part of this exciting club!
SENIORS
ATTENTION SENIORS: In order to give colleges a transcript showing first semester grades, senior transcripts will be mailed on December 27, 2013.
DIPLOMA NAME LIST: All seniors need to check the diploma name list posted in the display case outside the Counseling Office to make sure that their name is spelled correctly and that it is their legal name. If you find an error, please see Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office as soon as possible so that a correction can be made. Otherwise, your name will appear on your diploma as it is written on this list. All changes and corrections need to be made by 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013. Copies of birth certificates are required for all changes!
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION: Seniors, please give teachers and counselors PLENTY of time to complete college letters of recommendation for you. Staff should be given at least two weeks’ notice, as they will not be able to work on these over Winter break. Please provide the stamped, addressed envelope (if needed) as well as a ‘brag sheet’ listing your activities, award, honors, etc. You can pick up a copy of Request for Letter of Recommendation form in the Counseling Office.
