11th grade students report to the Main Gym

10th grade students report to the Aux Gym

Bring Photo ID

Bring a calculator and a #2 pencil

 

THE LIBRARY will be closed 1st period and 2nd brunch on Monday the 21st. We're sorry for the inconvenience!

 

The ID MAKER is now working, new students, come to the ASB office to get your ID.

 

The locker room is for PE and Athletic needs. The lockers are not for personal items or to store books.  Do not try to get into the locker rooms at brunch, lunch, and beginning of the periods to get personal items, homework, or to change clothes.

 

PSAT STUDY GUIDE BOOKLETS:  We have more of the PSAT Study Guides available.  If you signed up to take the test, please come to the Counseling Office during brunch or lunch and pick a copy up today!  The test is this Saturday, Oct. 19, so there is still time to study for the test.

 

ATTENTION COWBOYS:....Please be aware that any Halloween costumes that will be worn at school cannot violate dress code policy.  Shorts and skirts cannot be excessively short and shirts cannot show your midriff.  In addition, costumes cannot be excessively gory or bloody.  Lastly, you cannot wear any masks at school.  

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Ms. Bacon will be serving as a substitute for Counselor Ross Pollack.  If you normally work with Mr. Pollack, please stop by and introduce yourself to Ms. Bacon and let her know how she can help.

CAREER CLASSES THROUGH ROP:  ROP classes are Career Technical Education classes that provide you with skills that prepare you for higher education, future careers and life long learning.  Whether you are looking to prepare for a job or planning on pursuing higher education, ROP may have something for you.  Stop by the ROP office for more information and to sign up for spring courses.

 

5 on 5 INTRAMURAL FOOTBALL: 5 on 5  Intramural football sign ups will take place in C-5 at both brunches and at  lunch this week in room C-5!  Sign up ASAP.  Games will begin next week at lunch!

 

There is a TOUR OF HENRY MAYO scheduled for Monday, October 28 from 3:30-5:00 for students interested in the medical/health sciences field.  See Mrs. King in room G-105 or Mr. d’Autremont in the main office for more information and permission slips.

BIBLE CLUB--Every Thursday at lunch, the Bible Club will meet in the A Lecture Hall.  We'll have food and great discussions about the Bible and life.  Come and meet some great people and be part of this exciting club!

 

It's Thursday! You know what that means Cowboys? A GSA meeting at lunch in room C-4. It's another Pot Luck so bring food if you can! Today's topic will be posted outside the SRC on the bulletin board! Hope to see you there!

 

SENIORS

If you are applying to Mount St. Mary's College in LA they have Walk-On Application Days November 11th-15th.  That means that if a student brings a copy of their transcript, the essay, their test scores, and a Letter of Recommendation, the student will be able to have a tour of the campus, meet with an Admissions Counselor, and be accepted to the college the same day!  See specific info on their website.  They also have "Afternoon at the Mount" at Chalon on November 3rd, and at Doheny on November 10th.  At these opportunities students may have tours, meet staff/students, learn how to apply and about scholarship opportunities, sit in on some classes.
