GENERAL

 

The PSAT is this Saturday, October 19th, 2013 @ 7:45 AM

11th grade students report to the Main Gym

10th grade students report to the Aux Gym

Bring Photo ID

Bring a calculator and a #2 pencil

 

The ID MAKER is now working, new students, come to the ASB office to get your ID.

 

The locker room is for PE and Athletic needs. The lockers are not for personal items or to store books.  Do not try to get into the locker rooms at brunch, lunch, and beginning of the periods to get personal items, homework, or to change clothes.

 

PSAT STUDY GUIDE BOOKLETS:  We have more of the PSAT Study Guides available.  If you signed up to take the test, please come to the Counseling Office during brunch or lunch and pick a copy up today!  The test is this Saturday, Oct. 19, so there is still time to study for the test.

 

ATTENTION COWBOYS:....Please be aware that any Halloween costumes that will be worn at school cannot violate dress code policy.  Shorts and skirts cannot be excessively short and shirts cannot show your midriff.  In addition, costumes cannot be excessively gory or bloody.  Lastly, you cannot wear any masks at school. 

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Ms. Bacon will be serving as a substitute for Counselor Ross Pollack.  If you normally work with Mr. Pollack, please stop by and introduce yourself to Ms. Bacon and let her know how she can help.

 

CAREER CLASSES THROUGH ROP:  ROP classes are Career Technical Education classes that provide you with skills that prepare you for higher education, future careers and life long learning.  Whether you are looking to prepare for a job or planning on pursuing higher education, ROP may have something for you.  Stop by the ROP office for more information and to sign up for spring courses.

 

5 on 5 INTRAMURAL FOOTBALL: 5 on 5  Intramural football sign ups will take place in C-5 at both brunches and at  lunch this week in room C-5!  Sign up ASAP.  Games will begin next week at lunch!

 

ATENCION! Are you interested in showing your pride on Mexican cultural dance, or simply your passion or desire to dance and represent. This is the time! Come and join us in our informational meeting TODAY at 3pm in room D-5. You have two options - Do not miss out! Hope to see you there.

 

There is a TOUR OF HENRY MAYO scheduled for Monday, October 28 from 3:30-5:00 for students interested in the medical/health sciences field.  See Mrs. King in room G-105 or Mr. d’Autremont in the main office for more information and permission slips.

 

MEETINGS

 

BIBLE CLUB--Every Thursday at lunch, the Bible Club will meet in the A Lecture Hall.  We'll have food and great discussions about the Bible and life.  Come and meet some great people and be part of this exciting club!

 

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB AND YU-GI-OH CLUB meet every Wednesday and Friday and G-117.  Bring your lunch. Questions ask Mr. Clark

 

SPEECH AND DEBATE team will be meeting every Wednesday at lunch in room E-5.

 

SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY:  ¡Atención! ¡Atención! ¡Atención!--We have a mandatory meeting TOMORROW at lunch in D6.  Important information will be given.  Don't be late and don't forget your yellow SHH forms!  ¡Hasta mañana!

 

HEY COWBOYS come to the next GSA meeting tomorrow in room C-4! It's a pot luck so bring some food if you can. The meeting's topic will be posted on the bulletin board outside the SRC. Please wear the color purple in support of Coming Out Day! Also, the GSA is holding a fundraiser today at the Habit on Golden Valley road from 4-6pm. Pick up Flyers in room C-4!
