RENAISSANCE ACADEMIC RALLY—FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4

 

GENERAL

 

SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRESS REPORTS:  If you would like to receive a supplemental progress report tomorrow, please see Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office between 7:30am and 8:00am tomorrow morning to pick one up.  If you have a 7:00am class, you may pick one up today after your last class.

 

AN ADMISSIONS OFFICER FROM Azusa Pacific University will be at Canyon tomorrow Friday October 4th. She will be speaking with students in E3 from 7-730 AM. If you would like to learn more about Azusa Pacific University come to E3 at 7 AM tomorrow.

 

HEALTH OFFICE:  When you are ill, you must get a pass from your teacher to come up to the Health Office.  It is there that contact will be made with your parents/guardians to arrange for you to go home.  Do not call or text your parents or guardians from the classroom expecting to be summoned to the Health Office. 

 

CLASS RING ORDER:  JUNIORS!  It’s time for your class to order their class rings.  Your class ring will rank high in the commemoratives of your 2015 High School Graduation.

YOUR JOSTENS REPRESENTATIVE WILL BE ON CAMPUS FOR YOUR CLASS RING ORDER ON:

                                    A-M Thursday, Oct. 10th

                                    N-Z  Friday, Oct. 11th   

                                    During Brunches and Lunch

                                    On the Outdoor Stage

               

Ordering information is available in the ASB Office NOW!!  OR visit www.jostens.com for an online catalog to DESIGN, VIEW, and PRINT your order form!  Bring your $60.00 deposit and internet order form.  All internet order forms will receive $20 OFF!! (Excludes “P” rings).

Also, EVERY JUNIOR ordering on these order days will receive a FREE 2015 Companion Ring!!

We will personally size every student’s finger at the order table!!  See you there!!

 

PSAT STUDY GUIDES AVAILABLE:  If you paid for the test and have not picked up your PSAT Study Guide, please come to the Counseling Office during brunch or lunch to pick one up.  The test will be given on Saturday, October 19 at 7:45 am.

 There will be a short information meeting regarding the ROP Cosmetology Program on Friday, October 4th at lunch (12:30) in the ROP office.

 All students, regardless of grade, are encouraged to attend.  Please bring your lunch and be ready to learn what it takes to enroll in this very exciting program.

MEETINGS

 

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and YU-GI-OH Club meet every Wednesday and Friday and G-117.  Bring your lunch. Questions ask Mr. Clark

 

The BOOK CLUB meets this Friday @ lunch in the library. New members are always welcome.

 

FCA MEETING:  Is Friday, October 4 in room G-206 at lunch.  There will be food and a lot of fun.  Come and check it out and meet new people.

 

NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY:  Attention all NEHS applicants—the list of members/officers has been posted.  Stop by C-1 to see if you are a member.  TODAY is our first meeting in C-1 at lunch.

 

HEY COWBOYS!!  Come to the next GSA meeting TODAY in room C-4 at lunch.  Check out the bulletin board outside the Student Resource Center for topic details.  We will be having a Pot Luck meeting so bring some food if you can!  Anyone is welcome to stop by, bring your friends and check out what the club is all about!

 

BIBLE CLUB: Is every Thursday at lunch, the Bible Club will meet in the A Lecture Hall.  We'll have food and great discussions about the Bible and life.  Come and meet some great people and be part of this exciting club!

 

ROLEPLAYING CLUB will be TODAY from 3 to 7 pm in G106.  This is a change from the normal schedule.   Please let other club members know if see them. 

 

ANY ENVIROMENTALISTS OUT THERE?  If so, come to the L.E.A.F. Club meeting in room F-4 on Monday’s at lunch.  If you can’t make the meeting, but would like to do the volunteer work, contact Mr. Motherspaw.  Hope to see you at our first meeting Monday, October 14.
