GENERAL

 

PICK UP YOUR SCHOOL PICTURES in the ASB classroom—before school, brunch and lunch.

 

KEY CLUB registration papers are due September 20th, Turn them in to V-1 and pick up your Key Club magazine. 

 

CSF will be meeting in H1 at lunch on Monday the 23rd. This is a mandatory meeting for all members.

 

SAVE A LIFE COWBOYS.  Donate blood.  See Ms. King in G-105 for details. 

 

AUDITIONS for the Canyon High Improv Team will be this Friday after school. For those that have a free 7th period, we'll begin at 2 PM. Everyone else is welcome to stop by at 3 PM. In the B-Lecture Hall. Any questions, ask Mrs. P.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Free and reduced lunch applications are due AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  Turn the forms in to Mrs. Cheever in the Health Office.

 

HOODIES. SWEATSHIRTS, CANYON SWAY. Warm clothing,  It's here.  Come down to the student store and pick up a nice new and warm CHS hoodie before they sell out.  They come in Grey, White, and Green.  Student Store is where it's at.

TRI M, THE MUSIC HONOR SOCIETY--If you are a potential member for the Tri M, Music Honor Society, please remember to turn in your paperwork by TODAY. 

 

BOOK CLUB meets this Friday at lunch in the library. New members are always welcome.

 

BIBLE CLUB---Every Thursday at lunch, the Bible Club will meet in the A Lecture Hall.  We'll have food and great discussions about the Bible and life.  Come and meet some great people and be part of this exciting club!

 

SENIORS

SENIORS!  The California State University (CSU) is proud to host its third annual CSU College Night on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm, at the Pasadena Convention Center, 300 E. Green Street, Pasadena, CA 91101.

Please take advantage of this once a year opportunity to meet and speak with representatives from all 23 CSU campuses. Informative workshops regarding admissions, financial aid, and the CSU Mentor application will also be offered! This free event is open to students, parents, families, and educators. (NOTE: Parking at the Pasadena Convention Center is $10/vehicle.)

 

ATTENTION SENIORS!  All seniors in the Hart District are encouraged to participate in a speech scholarship competition sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association. The topic for the competition is: "How should the United States Immigration Policies be Reformed and Implemented?"

All interested students must submit a written copy of their speech by the October 4th deadline to Canyon's Counseling Office. (There is a max. time limit for the speech of 5 minutes.) Prizes are $750, $500 & $250. Please see the flyers in the Counseling Office for more information.
