GENERAL
ATTENTION ALL HOMECOMING COURT MEMBERS! We are having a mandatory dance meeting in ASB at lunch TODAY and Thursday. Be ready to dance!
HOODIES, SWEATSHIRTS, CANYON SWAY, WARM CLOTHING. It's here. Come down to the student store and pick up a nice new and warm CHS hoodie before they sell out. They come in Grey, White, and Green. Student Store is where it's at.
ATTENTION! All Freshmen wanting to participate in the Homecoming Float---attend a mandatory meeting today at lunch in room F-4.
LOST GUITAR--a guitar was left out on the tennis courts on Monday. There is a reward for the person who returns it--no questions asked. Please return it as soon as possible.
THE 3rd ANNUAL COLLEGE & CAREER FAIR is scheduled for TODAY from 6-8:30 pm at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. Over 100 Colleges & Universities, Career Preparation Schools and Apprenticeship programs will be on hand to answer questions about admission requirements and financial aid. This year, workshops will not be offered. All students are welcome, but the event is most appropriate for juniors and seniors with early entrance from 6-7 pm reserved for them. DO YOU VOLUNTEER A LOT? Would you like to win a trip to Washington DC and $1,000? The 2014 Prudential Spirit of Community Award honors students would make a difference by volunteering. Application deadline is November 5th. MEETINGS
SOS CLUB (SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS): If you are interested in helping our soldiers and veterans, come to Support Our Soldier’s first meeting. It will be TODAY at lunch in room G-217. Hope to see you there!
A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY is having its first meeting of the year on Thursday, September 12th in room D-4 at lunch. All returning members should attend and new members are welcome. Please attend if you are interested in raising money for local charities.
BIBLE CLUB--Every Thursday at lunch, the Bible Club will meet in the A Lecture Hall. We'll have food and great discussions about the Bible and life. Come and meet some great people and be part of this exciting club!
ATENCION! ATENCION! First Spanish Honor Society meeting of the year is this Thursday at lunch in room D-6. If you are in or have completed AP Spanish you are eligible to join this prestigious National organization. Join the fun! See you Thursday in D-6---Hasta Pronto!
THE ROLEPLAYING CLUB will be meeting in room G-107 from 3 to 7 on Friday to play. If you like Fantasy RPGs like world of warcraft, final fantasy, or kingdom hearts, come by to check it out. New players are welcome.
HEY COWBOYS: The GSA is holding a meeting tomorrow in room C-4. We’re having a Pot Luck so if you can, bring some food! If you can’t, anyone is still welcome to attend. Hope to see there!
OPERATION US: Our next meeting is Thurs. Sept. 12 in E3 at 12:30. Please bring your completed permission slip to the meeting. If you were not at our first meeting but you would like to be involved in Operation US please see Ms. Mast in E3.
NATIONAL ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY applicants, if you were unable to attend last week’s meeting and still want to apply pick up an application by Thursday Sept 12th in C-1. All applications are due to C-1 no later than Friday September 13th.
