GENERAL

ALL CANYON STUDENTS are reminded that when we have minimum day, they may NOT visit other campuses, including Sierra Vista.  Other schools are in full day session and it is a trespassing violation to be on their campus while their school is in session.  Avoid disciplinary action and a trespassing ticket!  Do not visit other schools when Canyon has a minimum day!

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  Parking permits FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS ONLY will be sold in the ASB Office Tuesday, September 3 through Friday, September 6 this week OR until sold out—whichever comes first.

HEY COWBOYS!!!  This Saturday, September 7, will be Canyon Cowboy Football's first home games of the season.  Freshmen play at 1:00, JV plays at 4:00 and Varsity plays at 7:00.  There will be a one-time charge to enter the games $8 for adults and $5 for children 3 and older.  BUT if you have a Canyon ASB card, you will get in free.  Same for adults that have Adult ASB cards, and kids that have Youth ASB cards...with their card they get in free too.  If you have family and friends that have not picked up their Adult or Junior ASB cards they will be at the main gate for all games on September 7.

Before the Varsity game, Canyon's 1983 CIF Champion football team and coaches will be recognized.

CSF – Officers are reviewing CSF applications this week and the list of new members will be posted in the library by Friday.

CANYON FOOTBALL GAMES:  A reminder to students that once you enter the football game and leave-- (in this case the JV game), YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER.  Bring everything you will need with you when you enter the game.  SKATEBOARDS AND SCOOTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED in the stadium or parking lot.  DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU!!!  Per CIF regulations Noisemakers are not allowed in the game.  Using Noisemakers may result in a forfeit of the game!!  Since this is a school sponsored event, the Canyon High School DRESS CODE will be strictly enforced.  ANY inappropriate attire (clothing, accessories, headgear or body paint) will result in entrance refusal and possible removal if non-compliant.

T-SHIRTS: if you purchased a t-shirt at registration and put your name on a list, the t-shirts are in the ASB office, you can pick them up there before school, brunch and lunch only.

KEY CLUBBERS:  If you didn’t get the papers for the meeting, you can get them in V1.  All the forms are due the first week of September.

DRESS CODE: Have you violated the dress code policy and had to wear a Canyon t-shirt?  If so, you need to return the Canyon t-shirt washed and dried to the Student Responsibility Center to pick up your original shirt.  Any article of clothing not picked up within 3 weeks will be thrown away.  Please return the washed Canyon t-shirt and pick up your original shirt ASAP.

TEXTBOOK CENTER: Textbook Damage Forms are due by Friday, Sept 6th.  Drop them in the blue crates in the library or textbook center.  If you have lost yours from registration see Mrs. Kulesz to get another. Don’t get stuck paying for someone else’s damage, return your form.
