GENERAL
SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRESS REPORTS: If you would like to receive a supplemental progress report tomorrow, please see Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office between 7:30am and 8:00am Friday morning to pick one up. If you have a 7:00am class, you may pick one up today after your last class.
COME WATCH CANYON CHOIR PERFORM in their spring concert on May 16th and 17th in the Golden Valley HS Performing Arts Center. The concert starts at 7:30 and tickets are 7 dollars with your ASB card and 5 dollars without. It's your last chance this year to see Canyon's award winning choirs perform. See you there!
FUTURE APES students will need to pick up the summer assignment with Mr. Yong in room F-1 at lunch this Friday or Next Monday.
COME SUPPORT A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY and the Castaic Animal Shelter THIS Saturday by getting your car washed in the KMart parking lot! Hope to see you there!
THEATRE AUDITIONS for next year's fall play will be Friday May 17th in the Q Theatre. They will start at 2 PM for those who have an open 7th and 3 PM for everyone else. No preparation necessary. See Mrs. P in the theatre if you have any questions.

LIBRARY: The last day to return all library materials is May 21st. Make sure to find your books and get them back to the library by then!
IT IS TIME TO LOCATE YOUR TEXTBOOKS AND RETURN THEM TO THE TEXTBOOK CENTER. Where are they?? You ask yourself…Well-- have you looked in your OLD backpack? Could it be packed away with holiday decorations? OR could it be on top of the refrigerator?? Just to name a few places….Stay tuned for more hiding suggestions.
THE LIBRARY will be closed on May 17th for the Mod Civ classes Gallery Walk. We'll be closed all periods, for both brunches, and during lunch. Students will not have access to the library or the computers. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
CANYON DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS ARE BACK! Missed tryouts last time? Don't despair! You can still try out for the Award-Winning Canyon Dance Team! Don't know how to dance but think you've got what it takes? We want to see your moves! Whether you are an experienced dancer or a new-comer, there is a place for you on the dance team. Come by the front office and pick up an information packet. Dance tryouts are Monday, May 20th in the Canyon auxiliary gym from 3 to 5 p.m. We hope to see you there!
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS! On Saturday June 8th is the SUMMER SPLASH EVENT sponsored by DFY IT. It will be held at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center from 5-9pm. Tickets are 5.00 and include admission, DJ, sunglasses, food and more! Tickets will be on sale one day only at lunch on Friday May 17th by the outdoor stage. All high schools in our district will be participating!
MEETINGS
ATTENTION MEMBERS OF A Little Goes a Long Way! There is a quick meeting at lunch today in D-4 regarding our last fundraiser for the year! Please show up promptly at the beginning of lunch!
COME TO FCA this Friday in room G-206 at lunch. This will be our last meeting of the year. So come help us celebrate –we will have pizza, desserts and more. Can’t wait to see you there!
SENIORS
GRAD NIGHT: ALL seniors who are attending Grad Night MUST turn in a signed parent permission slip by Friday, May 17. They are available outside the ASB Office. The permission slip has to be turned in by the 17th in order to attend.
THE SEIJI ISOMOTO SCHOLARSHIP FUND is offering a $1000 scholarship. To apply you must have a 3.0 GPA, have at least one parent that is Asian, and have lettered in a high school varsity sport. Applications are available in the counseling office.
THE CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDERATION has $500 scholarships available for CSF seal bearers. Please stop by the library to pick up the scholarship application instructions. The submission deadline for all applicants is May 17th.
