THE PERFORMANCE RALLY is coming up.  The theme is “BILLBOARD TOP 100!”  Go to J-1 (ASB) to sign up for tryouts.  Tryouts will be on Thursday, February 28 at 3:00 p.m.

 

10th and 11th graders ~ You have an opportunity to ask an expert!!  If you or your parents have questions about how to plan for college, select a college, or pay for college this is a workshop for you!   Parents can learn the features and benefits of 529 or Coverdell Savings Plans.  And so much more!  Come to the Library on Thursday, February 28th, from 7- 8pm and meet with CBS (College Bound Strategies) to learn what you need to know when you talk with colleges, and to learn about some realistic cost reduction and funding opportunities to help pay for college without damaging the student's financial future or their parent's retirement plans.

ACADEMY OF THE CANYONS:  Make a change and be a part of a unique, rewarding high school experience!  If you would like to learn more about Academy of the Canyons Middle College High School, you and your parents are invited to attend an informational meeting TONIGHT in the COC University Center Room 258 at 7:00 p.m.

 

MEETINGS

 

ATTENTION CSF! This is a call to all members to attend our general meeting on March 6th @ 8:00 a.m. in H1. We'll be discussing our spring service projects and talking about officers for the 2013-2014 school year. We will be taking attendance and serving a continental breakfast. See you there!

 

GUITAR CLUB meets EVERY Wednesday at lunch in room G-118.  Any interested students are welcome to come to our meetings.  

 

BIBLE CLUB--Come to the Bible Club on Thursday at lunch in the choir room.  Get some food and enjoy some time with other students.  Everyone is welcome.

 

FCA MEETING: Friday at lunch in G-206.  Everyone is welcome..

 

OPERATION US: All members need to meet in E3 at the START of lunch TODAY. We will be taking our Operation US yearbook picture. Please wear your Operation US shirt or a black shirt.

 

Don't miss the next GSA (Gay/Straight Alliance) Club meeting. We are moving the meeting place to C1 on Thursday, Feb. 28th during lunch. See you there!

SENIORS

 

SENIORS:  The SCV Association of California School Administrators is offering multiple scholarships ranging from 200 to 500 dollars.  To qualify you need to have gone to a school in Santa Clarita for at least seven years (including at least one year of elementary school), have applied to a trade school, community college, or four year college, and have at least a 2.5 GPA.  If you qualify, please pick up an application in the counseling office.  Applications are due back to Mrs. Goller by March 12th.

 

THE JACOB ZAMORA SCHOLARSHIP is due by March 1st.  There are three scholarships of $1000 dollars that could be awarded.   If you picked up an application, make sure to either deliver your finished application to the counseling office or mail it in by March 1st!
