Mod Civ Intervention Times during Exam Week. Monday - Wednesday - all three days it will be from 7 a.m. - 8 a.m.
GENERAL
NO STUDENT SUMMONS DURING FINAL EXAMS: STUDENTS please note, there are NO student summons delivered during Final Exams. Please do NOT call your parents and ask them to excuse you early for any reason. The Attendance Office WILL NOT deliver student summons during Final Exams to remove you from class. All students need to stay during the entire final exam period out of respect for all the other classes in exams.
SPRING SCHEDULES: Students will be given a TENTATIVE spring schedule on December 12 during their 2nd period class. If there are any mistakes on these schedules, students can fill out a program change request form outside the Counseling Office. These forms will be available on Dec 14 at brunch, lunch, and after school only. Students will not be allowed to fill out this form during class periods. Any change that needs to occur because of a mistake on a schedule will need to happen during these 3 days.
Students will be able to access their updated spring schedule on Jan 10, 2013 after 3 pm. using the student portal on Infinite Campus. Students who don't have access to the student portal can pick up a paper schedule on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 6:30 am in the Library.
FIRST PERIOD CLASSES: Attention students taking a 1st period class. Are you arriving to your class late? Do you have truancies to that period 1 class? If so, you will lose the opportunity of having a first period class in the spring. Taking a first period class is a commitment knowing that classes starts at 7am! Please honor the commitment or you will no longer be eligible to have a 1st period.
TEXTBOOKS FOR SINGLE SEMESTER CLASSES ARE DUE BY WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19th. These are classes that you will not be continuing with for the spring semester. Also due at that time are all class novels checked out from the textbook center. Don’t forget. Your will not be allowed to check out textbooks for the spring semester until these books are returned. If you have any questions or concerns contact Mrs. Kulesz in the Textbook Center.
ATTENTION ALL ATHLETES. All lockers need to be cleaned out by Wednesday Dec. 19th by 10:30 am. This includes football lockers.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION. Lockers will be cleaned out and locks turned in during your PE period on Friday. Please bring a bag to take your things home from PE on Friday. All students who are no longer in PE after this semester can donate their PE clothes to the PE teachers on Friday during the locker and lock time turn in.
HEY KEY CLUBBERS!! We are having a movie night TONIGHT in A-Lecture at 5:00 p.m. Bring money for food! Don’t have to be a member of Key Club to join us. If you missed the December meeting goes to V-1 to pick up an agenda!
CSF is hosting a drive for the Family Promise Shelter. Please help out and donate items such as laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other household necessities. Drop the items off in the boxes in the library any time this week or next. Thank you
CANYON'S SKETCH COMEDY TROUPE, "Side Effects May Include..." performs TONIGHT at 6 PM in the Q-Theatre. Tickets are $5 or $3 with ASB.
HEY CANYON!!! TODAY we will have our Holiday Games lunchtime activity. We will have games such as a gingerbread decorating competition, an ugly sweater contest and more!
ATTENTION STUDENTS: Please return borrowed Canyon High School "T" Shirts washed & folded in order to pick up your Shirt/Top. All Dress Code Violation Shirts" left in SRC will be donated to Charity 12/19/2012.
WINTER FORMAL COURT VOTING IS OPEN this week. Go to www.tallyspace.com . Winter Formal court will be announced before winter break.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS will be Dec 19th and Dec 20th from 5pm-7pm. If you have any questions, feel free to stop by G-116 for further details.
SUMMER MELTDOWN fundraiser at all Sam's Flaming Grill locations this Saturday from 11am -9pm. Bring in a flier and 15% goes toward the program. Ask a YES I CAN member or come to C3 for a flier. You can also download one from the Summer Meltdown Facebook.
MEETINGS
OPERATION US: We will be meeting this Friday December 14th at lunch in E3 to pass out permission slips and sign up for jobs. Our next presentations will be at Fair Oaks on January 23rd and January 24th. Operation US, see you this Friday at lunch!
DFY IT- We will be meeting in January when we return to school. There will NOT be a December Meeting. We have candidates for officers and will vote for and meet them in January.
THE ROLEPLAYING CLUB will meet on Wednesday, December 19th after school until 5 pm. Bring money for pizza if you wish to eat lunch. We will be playing the pathfinder roleplaying system. New players are welcome.
