GENERAL 

 

TEXTBOOKS FOR SINGLE SEMESTER CLASSES ARE DUE BY WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19th.  These are classes that you will not be continuing with for the spring semester.  Also due at that time are all class novels checked out from the textbook center.  Don’t forget.  Your will not be allowed to check out textbooks for the spring semester until these books are returned.  If you have any questions or concerns contact Mrs. Kulesz in the Textbook Center.

 

NO STUDENT SUMMONS DURING FINAL EXAMS:  STUDENTS please note, there are NO student summons delivered during Final Exams.  Please do NOT call your parents and ask them to excuse you early for any reason.  The Attendance Office WILL NOT deliver student summons during Final Exams to remove you from class.  All students need to stay during the entire final exam period out of respect for all the other classes in exams.

 

CONGRATULATIONS to the Marching Band!  On Saturday, the Marching Band competed at the Camarillo Christmas parade and earned the overall Sweepstakes in Band and Music, 1st place in Auxiliary, 1st place for drum major- Alondra Pena and the Overall Outstanding Band Award for the Holiday Parade!  Great Job Band! 

 

CANYON'S SKETCH COMEDY TROUPE, "Side Effects May Include..." performs this Friday at 6 PM in the Q-Theatre. Tickets are $5 or $3 with ASB.

 

STUDENTS DO YOU WANT TO LEARN ABOUT JOBS IN THE AUTOMOTIVE FIELD?  Come to an after school field to Frontier Toyota in Valencia and learn about jobs in the service, sales, marketing, and finance departments.  The fieldtrip is on Thursday, December 13 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.  Fill out a fieldtrip form and bring it with you to the event.   Pick up a fieldtrip  form from Mrs. Gaines in the ROP Office.

 

HEALTH OFFICE: When you are ill, you must get a pass from your teacher to come up to the Health Office.  It is there that contact will be made with your parents/guardians to arrange for you to go home.  Do not call or text your parents or guardians from the classroom expecting to be summoned to the Health Office. 

 

DO YOU WANT TO SEE YOUR CLASSMATES SHOW OFF THEIR TALENT? Bring five dollars to room D-4 during first brunch or lunch to reserve a seat in "A Little Goes a Long Way's" talent show! There will be two shows, December 12 & 13 at 6pm in the A lecture hall. Tickets are $10 at the door so be sure to get yours now! The money raised will go to the Homeless Shelter. See you there!

 

LOST AND FOUND:  If you have lost an item this semester check out the tables outside the Health Office on Friday.  Any items not claimed will be turned over to a charity on Wednesday, December 19.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Please return borrowed Canyon High School "T" Shirts washed & folded in order to pick up your Shirt/Top.  All Dress Code Violation Shirts" left in SRC will be donated to Charity 12/19/2012.

 

WINTER FORMAL COURT VOTING IS OPEN this week.  Go to www.tallyspace.com .  Winter Formal court will be announced before winter break.

 

SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY:  If you participated in the Pampered Chef fundraiser in any way, the orders will be here on Thursday, December 13 at lunch in D-2.  Make sure to pick up the orders you collected so that you have them for the holidays! GRACIAS!!

 

MEETINGS

 

ANIME CLUB is meeting today in G-220 at lunch. Come join the fun!

 

THE BIBLE CLUB will meet on Thursday at lunch in the choir room.  Everyone is welcome!
