BASEBALL TRYOUTS will be November 19th and 20th after school on the baseball field...stop by room B-5 for more information.
OPERATION US: We have a presentation coming up! Please stop by E3 during first brunch or lunch TODAY to pick up a permission slip for Mitchell Elementary School. We will be presenting on the morning of November 30th. All members are encouraged to attend!
LIBRARY: Have you checked the due date of your library book? You can find it inside the front cover. Remember to return or renew your books on time and avoid annoying fines that start to add up quickly. The book drop is located inside the library at the circulation desk.
ATTENTION COWBOYS! The SCV American Red Cross youth corps will be having an emergency kit drive to provide needy families with survival kits that will last 4-7 days. Each high school will be hosting a drive for a specific item needed in these kits. Canyon’s Red Cross club has been assigned to host a drive for books and magazines, new or used, from November 13th-23rd. Please participate and bring your donations to the library. We’ll be also giving community service hours depending on the number of books and magazines you donate. Help save a life cowboys and donate!
ACADEMIC AWARD RECIPIENTS: If you did not attend the ceremony, please go to the Assistant Principals Office no later than Thursday, December 19 to pick up your award. They will be available before and after school, and during lunch and brunch. Congratulations!
SUMMER MELTDOWN Fundraiser at IHOP TODAY. Please come out and support YES I CAN in raising funds for the 10th Annual SUMMER MELTDOWN Art & Music Festival. Stop by C3 for a flier and 15% of your bill will be donated to the program. Come out, have fun, and enjoy some pancakes with YES I CAN!
HEY KEY CLUBBERS—need hours?? Help a child in need this holiday season, by participating in the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles toy drive. Please make sure toys are new and sealed for sanitary purposes. Some favorite items are Barbie’s, action figures, coloring books, crayons, markers, journals, and board games. Bring donations to V-1 before school, after school, or brunch or lunch!
COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS REPRESENTATIVE VISITS AT CANYON HIGH SCHOOL: An Outreach & School Relations representative from College of the Canyons will be on our campus to assist interested students learn more about the college’s admissions process; certificates, degrees and transfer programs; and student support programs and services. Visits have been scheduled to allow all students the opportunity to meet with the representative in our Counseling Office during both brunch periods and lunch. During periods 4 and 5, prospective students interested in receiving personalized assistance may schedule a 15-minute advising session with the representative. Please visit the Counseling Office to book an advising session.
SENIORS
ATTENTION CSF SENIORS-You are eligible for a $1000 essay contest scholarship. To find out more about this scholarship, stop by the library or counseling office to pick up paper work. The completed essay is December 22nd, so pick up the paperwork asap.
SENIOR YEARBOOK ADS: Hey seniors drop the hint to your parents that ad space is now on sale in the back of the yearbook. Visit the yearbook website or yearbookforever.com for more info on purchasing. Sales are through the end of November.

SCHOLARSHIP NEWS: On Tuesday, December 4th at lunch in the B-Lecture Hall, the Canyon Counseling Staff will be talking about scholarships. If you plan to go to a 2 year, 4 year, or trade school after graduation, you should come! Most of our scholarships become available second semester. We will be handing out an application that will qualify you for at least 20 local scholarships.
