GOOD LUCK IN CIF---COWBOY FOOTBALL AND GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

HEY COWBOYS!!!  Cowboy football has a CIF Playoff game here on Friday, November 9 at 7:00. 

Since this is a post-season game, no ASB cards, Student, Child or Adult are valid.  Hart School District Employee ID and Foothill League passes are also not honored.  The cost is $8 for Adults and Senior Citizens. $5 for high school students that show their High School ID. $5 for children 13 and younger.  TICKETS ARE ON SALE BEFORE SCHOOL, BRUNCH AND LUNCH.  Avoid long lines on Friday night—buy your tickets in advance.   

SWIM TEAM Tryouts for SPRING Semester 2013 are November 8th!! You must tryout to be on the Team!!  Please come by Room T-3 to talk to Coach Himes for more information!

BOYS TENNIS TRYOUTS:  All boys interested in playing on the tennis team in the spring need to attend tryouts on November 13-15 (Tuesday through Thursday) on the courts after school.  Tryouts should run until 4pm each day.

CANYON FOOTBALL GAMES:  A reminder to students that once you enter the football game and leave, YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER.  If you need a sweater, blanket etc., remember to bring it in with you when you arrive.  Footballs. Skateboards and scooters are NOT allowed in the stadium or parking lot-DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU!!! "Noisemakers are not allowed per CIF regulations and that using Noisemakers and result in a forfeit of the game.  Since this is a school sponsored event, the Canyon High School DRESS CODE will be strictly enforced.  ANY inappropriate attire (clothing, accessories, headgear or body paint) will result in entrance refusal and possible removal if non-compliant.

ACADEMIC AWARD RECIPIENTS:  If you did not attend the ceremony, please go to the Assistant Principals Office no later than Thursday, December 19 to pick up your award.  They will be available before and after school, and during lunch and brunch.  Congratulations!

NEWS FROM SANTA CLARITA PUBLIC LIBRARY: Kaplan will be presenting a FREE ACT/SAT practice test session at Canyon Country Public Library, on Sat. Nov. 10th 10 a.m.-2 p.m.  Register online at the Santa Clarita Public Library's website www.santaclaritalibrary.com Look for the program in the events calendar.  Remember this session is FREE!

MEETINGS

HEY KEY CLUBBERS!!  We have a mandatory meeting TODAY in A-Lecture Hall at lunch!  Please be on time! 

HEY SOS MEMBERS!  There will be a meeting this Thursday, November  8 in room G-217 at lunch.  New members are welcome!  See you there!!

LATIN DANCE CLUB (Folklorico, Cumbia, Banda, Merengue, Bachata and Salsa). It is going to take place during lunch and after school in room D-5. Anyone is welcome and no experience is required, it is a club to learn the dances.

STUDENTS are you looking for something NEW to do during lunch? Check out a GSA (Gay/Straight Alliance) Meeting this Thursday in A-Lecture Hall. Everyone is always welcome!

SENIORS:  It's time to start preparing for Graduation.  The first step is to order your Cap & Gown, Senior Ring, Graduation Announcements, and other Senior memorabilia.

Are you planning to apply to any of the UC schools?  If so, you might want to attend the UCLA workshop.  The presenter will go over the UC Application and Personal Statement for ANY of the UC schools.  You must sign up in the Counseling Office before this workshop.  You should have a copy of your transcript (you can print them from the Campus Portal) with you for the UCLA workshop.
