LIBRARY:  Have you checked the due date of your library book? You can find it inside the front cover. Remember to return or renew your books on time and avoid annoying fines that start to add up quickly. The book drop is located inside the library at the circulation desk.

 

SWIM TEAM Tryouts for SPRING Semester 2013 are on November 6th and 8th!! You must tryout to be on the Team!!  Please come by Room T-3 to talk to Coach Himes for more information!

THEATRE DEPARTMENT PRESENTS "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" this Saturday October 20th in the Q-Theatre. Showtimes are 1 PM and 3 PM. Tickets are $5 or $3 with ASB card. Don't miss it!

 

 

 

 

GOODWILL DONATIONS:  The Dance Team is collecting donations for Goodwill !  Do you have old clothes, books, computer monitors,  CDs, or DVDs that you want to clear out of your room?  Bring them to the Goodwill Donation Truck parked in the big parking lot on Saturday, October 20th.  Yes, that's THIS Saturday!  The truck will be here from 10 am to 4 p.m.   If you have any questions see Mrs. Denny in G216 or any dance team member.  Thanks for giving!

 

ENGINEERING:  Have you ever thought of engineering and design as a possible career field? Would you like to compete in a robotics competition?  ROP offers Exploring Engineering Technologies class where you design and build vehicles, robotics and much more using software and hands-on tools and equipment.  This class fills quickly.  See Mrs. Gaines in the ROP office to sign up.

 

COSMETOLOGY APPLICATIONS:  Current Juniors interested in starting the cosmetology program in the spring need to pick up an application from Mrs. Gaines in the ROP office.  The application deadline is November 1st at 3:00 PM.  Don't miss out on this rewarding opportunity.  Stop by the ROP office today.

 

MEETINGS

 

DFY IT Club is still accepting members!  We are half way there with a goal of 50 committed members.  There will be a recruitment meeting in H-1 TODAY at BRUNCH.  Already a member? Please come as well and bring someone with you to join!  The goal of this club is to educate and support.  We welcome everyone and anyone who wants to be a part of or needs support for living a drug free life.  Please see Ms. Krurmrich in PE for more information if needed.  Otherwise, looking forward to seeing existing and NEW members to the DFY IT Recruitment Meeting on October 19th at BRUNCH in H-1. 

 

OPERATION US: We will be meeting Tuesday October 23rd at lunch in E3. Please bring your completed permission slips. Our first presentation is Thursday November 1st at Mint Canyon.

Each year some colleges have Open Houses or Preview Days where you can come and visit the campus and participate in a variety of events and also learn about their programs.

Are you planning to apply to any of the UC schools?  If so, you might want to attend the UCLA workshop.  The presenter will go over the UC Application and Personal Statement for ANY of the UC schools.  You must sign up in the Counseling Office before this workshop.  You should have a copy of your transcript (you can print them from the Campus Portal) with you for the UCLA workshop.
