HEY COWBOYS!!! Homecoming is just around the corner. Tickets are on sale NOW in the ASB Office. They are $10 with an ASB card and $15 without, and $20 at the door. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY to buy off-campus guest tickets for the Homecoming dance. The price for off-campus guests is $20, all. Hurry up and buy your tickets! The dance is Saturday, October 6, from 7-11 pm. Don’t miss out on this great experience!
HOMECOMING COURT AUCTION! Do you want to buy your friend on the 2012 Homecoming Court? Do you want to dress them up and make them look crazy for the rally on October 5? Then come out to the stage at lunch on October 3, with cash for our Homecoming Court Auction! Don’t forget to buy your Homecoming tickets.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Due to the shortened week, Mr. Ward's Work Experience Class will be meeting on Thursday of next week"
CANYON FOOTBALL GAMES: A reminder to students that once you enter the football game and leave, YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER. If you need a sweater, blanket etc., remember to bring it in with you when you arrive. Skateboards and Scooters are NOT allowed in the stadium or parking lot-DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU!!! "Noisemakers are not allowed per CIF regulations and that using Noisemakers and result in a forfeit of the game." Since this is a school sponsored event, the Canyon High School DRESS CODE will be strictly enforced. ANY inappropriate attire (clothing, accessories, headgear or body paint) will result in entrance refusal and possible removal if non-compliant.
LIBRARY: Have you checked the due date of your library book? You can find it inside the front cover. Remember to return or renew your books on time and avoid annoying fines that start to add up quickly. The book drop is located inside the library at the circulation desk.

,THE FIRST FUNDRAISER for A Little Goes a Long Way is a car wash TOMORROW at K-Mart. Please come out and support this new club. Also, we are looking for donations of car wash supplies, which can be dropped off in room D-4, anytime before lunch on Friday. Thank you!

MEETINGS
CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB AND OTHER BOARD GAMES will meet Friday at lunch in G-117. Bring your lunch and compete in games of skill and strategy. If you do not know how to play chess we can teach you. Questions, see Mr. Clark in G-117.
FCA CLUB: There is a fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting TODAY at lunch in room G-206. There will be food and tons of fun. Everyone is welcome!! Come check it out!
ROLEPLAYING CLUB THIS FRIDAY: If you made a character last meeting, or if you just want to try playing, please come to roleplaying club this Friday after school, from 3 to 7 pm in room K4. We will be playing the pathfinder roleplaying system. Participation is first-come first serve, and there are signup sheets in K4 for the 3 games we are playing. Please stop by to get your name on the list!
SENIORS
COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS REPRESENTATIVE VISITS AT CANYON HIGH SCHOOL: An Outreach & School Relations representative from College of the Canyons will be on our campus to assist interested students learn more about the college’s admissions process; certificates, degrees and transfer programs; and student support programs and services. Visits have been scheduled to allow all students the opportunity to meet with the representative in our Counseling Office during both brunch periods and lunch. During periods 4 and 5, prospective students interested in receiving personalized assistance may schedule a 15-minute advising session with the representative. Please visit the Counseling Office to book an advising session.
COC Rep Visits will occur on the following dates for 2012:

THE UCLA SCHOOL OF THEATER, FILM AND TELEVISION will be hosting Information Sessions in the Fall for prospective students, counselors, and educators. Learn about the Theater and Film Programs at UCLA. Our presentation includes information about our two departments, the application process for our graduate and undergraduate programs, the portfolio/audition/interview requirements, and other UCLA resources. These events are FREE and are open to all prospective students, parents, and counselors. Are you planning to apply to any of the UC schools? If so, you might want to attend the UCLA workshop. The presenter will go over the UC Application and Personal Statement for ANY of the UC schools. You must sign up in the Counseling Office before this workshop. You should have a copy of your transcript (you can print them from the Campus Portal) with you for the UCLA workshop.
