HENRY MAYO NEWHALL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL VOLUNTEERS NOT NEEDED: Due to the overwhelming demand recently for volunteer hours, HMNMH does not have the volunteer positions to offer teens right now and won't be distributing information on November 1, as they had previously planned and communicated. Please do NOT show up on November 1.

CANYON HIGH STUDENTS AND PARENTS,
College of the Canyons is celebrating the five-year anniversary of the Canyon Country Campus by hosting a community open house this Saturday, September 8th from 10am - 2pm.
All interested students and parents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the college's various certificates, degrees and transfer programs, the admission process, financial aid, and additional student support programs and services. Prospective students will have an opportunity to interact with faculty, current students and staff while exploring the campus.
The day's activities also include live music and entertainment in addition to a no-host barbeque lunch prepared by Canyons Café, along with other snacks, sweets and treats being provided free of charge by the college's Associated Student Government (ASG). All attendees will also be entered to win one of several prizes being raffled away at the conclusion of the event.
We hope that you're able to join us for a fun and informative day as you explore the various opportunities COC has to offer!

YEARBOOKS: Most students realize they want a yearbook at the end of the year, but what you might not realize is that NOW is the cheapest time to buy your yearbook. Prices will be increasing soon so buy your book before the end of September for $80 in ASB.

TEXTBOOK CENTER- Textbook Damage Forms are due TODAY. Drop them in the blue crates in the library or textbook center. If you have lost yours from registration see Mrs. Kulesz to get another. Don’t get stuck paying for someone else’s damage, return your form.

HEY COWBOYS!! Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Wm. S. Hart School District’s second annual College and Career Fair on Thursday evening, September 13th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the gymnasium at Golden Valley High School. This free event is open to all high school students in the district, but is most appropriate for juniors and seniors.
Representatives from 2-year and 4-year universities, career technical schools and apprenticeship programs will be participating. In addition to the fair, workshops on financial aid, Exploring the UC & CSU systems, Out-of-State College and freshmen admissions, Community College Programs and career preparation will be offered.

CLUB S.O.S: ALL S.O.S. members, there has been an error in the meeting day. The meeting is this coming Tuesday, September 11th, at lunch, NOT today at lunch. Come on the 11th at lunch to G217! There will be donuts while supplies last!
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN COMPUTER ROLE-PLAYING GAMES like final fantasy, kingdom hearts or skyrim, you should try table top role playing games. The roleplaying club is making characters today, Friday, from 3-6 in room K4, and will be playing games this year the final Friday of each month.
