ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!   You've heard about it on the announcements!  You saw the kick off out in the quad at lunch last week.  It is called DFYIT ( pronounced dee fy it ).  It stands for Drug Free Youth in Town.   The club is organized through the City of Santa Clarita and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Dept.  All the junior highs and high schools in the valley are coming together to fight the epidemic that is slowly taking control of our youth.  We are reaching out to help those who need it and to prevent all of you from trying.  --The club is a great way to meet people, get involved in the community, to educate yourself about the growing problem of drugs in the student community in Santa Clarita, or to have a support system for yourself if you or someone you know has had experience with drug use. --Are you wanting to learn more about DFYIT? The first meeting is September 24th at lunch in the auxiliary gym.  If you are interested, please pick up a contract and information in the front office and turn it in to the front office in the DFY IT basket or bring it to the first meeting on Sept. 24th.  Any questions?  Please see Ms. Krumrich down in the girl's PE office.

ARE YOU A BIG TAYLOR SWIFT FAN?  She is having a contest for the school that gets the most votes to receive a live performance and $10,000 for the music program at the school.  Please go to www.TaylorSwiftonCampus.com and vote once a day for Canyon High School.  Even if you aren't a Taylor Swift fan, please vote so that our band and choir can receive a $10,000 grant!  Parents, alumni, and friends can also vote.  Thank you!
