GENERAL

 

DIFFERENT SCHEDULE THIS WEEK: RENAISSANCE RALLY, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24

 

COLLEGE BOUND STRATEGIES is having an informational workshop on Tuesday, February 28 in the Canyon High School Library at 7:00 pm.  The topic is TAKING THE STRESS OUT OF THE COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE PROCESS. They will help you understand what is really going on in the world of college admissions. Such as, what the challenges are that students face as they apply to college in a more competitive environment and ways to help pay for college.  There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

 

ART CLUB will be having an art fair in April.  We are looking for anyone interested in making donations of art to be sold at this event.  For more information or to donate go see Mr. Shaheen in room T-4.

 

HEY COWBOYS!!  CLUB SOS, Support Our Soldiers, is having a letter/movie night on

Friday, February 24, in “A” Lecture Hall.  We will be writing letters to soldiers and watching a movie afterwards.  If you would like to participate, pick up a flyer in room G 202.

 

ROP COSMETOLOGY: if you are a current Junior interested in participating in the ROP cosmetology program in the fall, see Mrs. Gaines in the ROP office. 

 

HEALTH OFFICE:  When you are ill, you must get a pass from your teacher to come up to the Health Office.  It is there that contact will be made with your parents/guardians to arrange for you to go home.  Do not call or text your parents or guardians from the classroom expecting to be summoned to the Health Office. 

 

ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAMS: AP students will receive AP Exam Registration information starting on Thursday, March 1, 2012.  AP Exam registration will start March 5th and run through March 16th, 1:00 PM.  Students may register before school, brunch or during lunch in the ASB office.  The fee for each test is $87, unless the student participates in the free or reduced lunch program.  Students can see Mrs. Schwamb in the Health Office to learn about this program.  Don’t forget to sign up!!!

NO LATE REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MEETINGS

 

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB (and other board games of skill) meet Friday in G-117.  Bring your lunch.

 

BOOK CLUB meets TODAY @ lunch in the library. Stop by and check us out!

 

There is a mandatory NHS meeting on Tuesday, February 28th in Ms. Goodwin's room U-7.

 

IMPACT CLUB:  We will be having a meeting on Wednesday, February 29 in U-7 at lunch.   See you there!

 

THE AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB will be meeting Mondays in room E-4 at lunch. Enrollment in the club is open and everyone is welcome to join.
