GENERAL

 

ROP - Last day to drop or change an ROP class is TODAY.  Please see Mrs. Gaines in the ROP office to drop your ROP class.

 

ATTENTION JUNIORS:  Counselors handed out pre-registration forms in the US History classes on Tuesday.  If you are not currently in a US History B class or you just didn’t get this form, please come up to the counseling office and get a pink pre-registration sheet so you can choose your classes for next year.  Fill out the form, keep it handy in your binder, and then wait for your counselor to call you up to discuss your classes.

 

BLOOD DRIVE:  There will be a blood drive on campus on Wednesday, February 8th.  You must be at least 16 to donate.  Permission slips are available in room U-7 or ask an NHS member.  Your donation may save a life!

 

HEY COWBOYS AND COWGIRLS:  Valentine’s Day is coming up.  Get that special someone something special!!  Val-O- Grams will be on sale starting February 1 for just $7.  For that price, your loved one will receive a song, flower, lollipop, balloon, and personalized card.  See any choir member for additional details.

 

JERSEY MIKE'S FUNDRAISER FOR GIRLS' SOCCER - FRIDAY, FEB. 4:  Jersey Mike's (in the IHOP Shopping Center on Soledad) will donate 15% of all store purchases Friday, Feb 4 between 4:00 and 8:00, to the girls' soccer program!  Just mention Canyon Girls' Soccer when placing your order!

 

COWBOY FOOTBALL FUNDRAISER: When:  Saturday, February 4, from 3-5pm.  Where:  Canyon High School Gym.  What:  Zumba.  Cost is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door.  All proceeds go to the Canyon Cowboy Football Program.

 

CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDERATION: (CSF) Complete application packets for CSF will be accepted in the library during lunch this week. This includes the application, a copy of your semester report card, your verification of volunteer hours, and your dues. Please refer to the CSF page of the library's website available at http://canyonpathfinders.wikispaces.com/CSF to see the items necessary for a complete packet. All applications are due in the library during lunch by Fri. Feb. 3rd, NO EXCEPTIONS. Remember you must reapply every semester you qualify to maintain your membership. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Hermelin.

 

GIRLS' SOCCER GOODWILL FUNDRAISER: Everyone has a Goodwill pile somewhere, right?  Donate your Goodwill items (clothing, furniture, small appliances, toys, etc.) and eWaste items (TVs,

VCRs, faxes, printers, phones - working or not) to help the Girls' Soccer Program. Every bag helps!! Saturday, Feb 4, 9:00 to 3:00, in the parking lot, or call Jean for a pickup (818)406-2218

GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) Club Meeting- The first GSA Meeting of spring semester is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 1st. during LUNCH in the A-Lecture Hall. New members are welcome! Bring a friend and join us. T-Shirts are available for purchase ($15). See you there.

 

SENIORS

 

SENIORS:  Friday, February 3rd is the deadline to turn in the application for the Santa Clarita Valley Scholarship Foundation to Mrs. Goller in the counseling office.  This is your greatest chance to earn a scholarship from local groups.  The biggest scholarship is $5000!  So far, we have only received TWO applications.  Please make sure to get your application in!
