GENERAL
HALLOWEEN COSTUMES: Students, please remember that you are NOT permitted to wear masks or carry any type of "weapons" as part of Halloween costumes to school. None. Zero. No. Not plastic, not metal, not fake, not pretend. None. Thank you!
SMILE CLUB: Hey Cowboys come out and support Smile Club by eating at the Panda Express at the Mall all day TODAY! Get a flyer from Mrs. Trapani in the Counseling Office.
THE LIBRARY will be closed to all students during second brunch this Monday. Please make other plans for brunch.
HEALTH OFFICE: When you are ill, you must get a pass from your teacher to come up to the Health Office. It is there that contact will be made with your parents/guardians to arrange for you to go home. Do not call or text your parents or guardians from the classroom expecting to be summoned to the Health Office.
PRINT YOUR OWN UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS! Did you know that you can print your own copy of your transcript from the Campus Portal? After logging into the portal, click on reports, then click on Unofficial Transcript. You can print a copy or just view it.
NROTC Scholarship Meeting on October 25th in A-Lecture Hall from 12:30-1:00 pm.
The Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps is a scholarship that pays up to $180,000 for school. It is intended for Seniors and Juniors the application process should begin in their junior year, as the recipients are notified in the fall and winter of their senior year. The applicants must achieve a score of 1000 on their SAT or a score of 22(combined math and verbal) on their ACT. The way it works is the individual will attend school from September to June and during the summer they will be doing Marine
training. Last year LA County had 8 recipients, one of them being from here Santa Clarita.
SPRING ROP CLASSES: If you're interested in taking an ROP class next semester see Mrs. Gaines in the ROP office. ROP classes introduce you to a variety of careers, whether you are looking for entry level employment training, preparation for higher education or need additional credits. Stop by the ROP office for more information.
STUDENTS REQUESTING OFF CAMPUS PASSES please bring a note from a parent and take it to the attendance office before school, at brunch or lunch to receive your permit to leave. If you do not have a note...parents must call the office in the morning and request a pass.
Juniors and Seniors...most of you are through with school at lunch time... remember to make your appointments after you have finished with your school day.

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY is meeting in room C-7 at lunch on Monday, October 24. Hope to see you there!
BOY’S VOLLEYBALL: Bring your parents to B-Lecture on October 27 at 7:00 p.m. for our pre-season meeting. That is Thursday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m.

USC COLLEGE WORKSHOP: The USC (University of Southern California) Application Workshop is on Monday, October 24, during 4th period in room H-1. Please note this room change. Sign up now in the Counseling Office. Also, please bring a copy of your unofficial transcript to the meeting. You may print a transcript by going through the campus portal and clicking on "Reports", then clicking on "Unofficial Transcript."
