GENERAL

CANYON FOOTBALL GAMES:  A reminder to students that once you enter the football game and leave, YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER.  If you need a sweater, blanket etc., remember to bring it in with you when you arrive.  Skateboards and Scooters are NOT allowed in the stadium or parking lot—DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU!!!  Since this is a school sponsored event, the Canyon High School DRESS CODE will be strictly enforced.  ANY inappropriate attire (clothing, accessories, headgear or body paint) will result in entrance refusal and possible removal if non-compliant.

HEY COWBOYS, we need your blood.  Our first blood drive is on Thursday, September 29th.  Go to G-105 to sign up. 

STUDENTS REQUESTING OFF CAMPUS PASSES please bring a note from a parent and take it to the attendance office before school, at brunch or lunch to receive your permit to leave.  If you do not have a note...parents must call the office in the morning and request a pass.

Juniors and Seniors...most of you are through with school at lunch time... remember to make your appointments after  you have finished with your school day. 

ATTENTION JUNIORS: If you are a junior and are planning to go to a 4-year college or university, this meeting is for you!  Come the LIBRARY on Thursday, September 29th at LUNCH to learn from an industry pro how to prepare for the SAT, ACT, and gain an accurate time-line on what needs to be done for your college application process.  Also you can learn how to save money on college tuition.

INTRAMURAL FOOTBALL...  Football Season has started!  Sign up for Intramural football this week in rooms C-5 and G-116.  Sign up at both brunches and at lunch!

HEY COWBOYS, need some extra academic help? There are numerous opportunities for extra help in all subjects. Please ask your teachers about the tutoring schedule, or you can look it up on the Canyon website under the “Academic” tab.

HEY COWBOYS! Homecoming Tickets are on sale now, $10 with an ASB card and $15 without an ASB card. The first 200 tickets will get a free promo mix cd!! Yes I said a FREE mix cd when you buy your ticket! The dance is on October 1st from 7-11pm in the gym.

SUPPORT CANYON CHEER:  By coming to Canyon this Sunday, September 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the Canyon Outdoor Stage for “ZUMBA.”  Cost is $10 per person.  Thank you for your support.

SUPPORT GROUPS: 

We will have three support groups this year on campus run by the SCV Youth Project.

Thursdays will be Male Issues Group in room AA-3 rotating between 4th & 5th period

Fridays will be Girls Issues & TAG (Teen Age Grief) in room AA-3 rotating between 4th & 5th period.

Interviews for Male Issues will be Thursday 9-22

Interviews for TAG & Girls Issues will be Friday 9-23.

Actual groups will begin the following week.

Action will be held on Tuesdays in room AA-3 and will rotate between 4th & 5th period beginning 9-27.

MEETINGS

EQUESTRIAN TEAM:  There is a meeting TODAY in room T-1 AT LUNCH.

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB (and other board games of skill) meet  Friday in G-117.  Bring your lunch.

HEY KEY CLUBBERS!  We will have our next General Meeting on Tuesday, September 27, at lunch in the A Lecture Hall.  We hope to see you there.
