GENERAL

HEY COWBOYS, we need your blood.  Our first blood drive is on Thursday, September 29th.  Go to G-105 to sign up. 

STUDENTS REQUESTING OFF CAMPUS  PASSES please bring a note from a parent and take it to the attendance office before school, at brunch or lunch to receive your permit to leave.  If you do not have a note...parents must call the office in the morning and request a pass.

Juniors and Seniors...most of you are through with school at lunch time... remember to make your appointments after  you have finished with your school day. 

INTRAMURAL FOOTBALL...  Football Season has started!  Sign up for Intramural football this week in rooms C-5 and G-116.  Sign up at both brunches and at lunch!

HEY COWBOYS, need some extra academic help? There are numerous opportunities for extra help in all subjects. Please ask your teachers about the tutoring schedule, or you can look it up on the Canyon website under the “Academic” tab.

HEY COWBOYS! Homecoming Tickets are on sale now, $10 with an ASB card and $15 without an ASB card. The first 200 tickets will get a free promo mix cd!! Yes I said a FREE mix cd when you buy your ticket! The dance is on October 1st from 7-11pm in the gym.

SUPPORT GROUPS: 

We will have three support groups this year on campus ran by the SCV Youth Project.

Thursdays will be Male Issues Group in room BB-2 rotating between 4th & 5th period

Fridays will be Girls Issues & TAG (Teen Age Grief) in room BB-2 rotating between 4th & 5th period.

Interviews for Male Issues will be Thursday 9-22

Interviews for TAG & Girls Issues will be Friday 9-23.

Actual groups will begin the following week.

Action will be held on Wednesdays in room BB-2 and will rotate between 4th & 5th period. beginning 9-21

MEETINGS

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY: Is having their first meeting TODAY in room C-7 lunch.  New members are welcome.

CHECKMATES Chess Club (and other board games of skill) meet Wed and Friday in G-117.  Bring your lunch.

HEY KEY CLUBBERS!  We will have our next General Meeting on Tuesday, September 27, at lunch in the A Lecture Hall.  We hope to see you there.

SENIORS

SENIORS:  There will be another mandatory float meeting in B-8 on Thursday at lunch. 

MR CANYON APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE!

Mr. Canyon, which is set for November 16th, is now accepting applications. Mr. Canyon is a male pageant that is only available for Senior boys. It is a fun night where our top seniors can strut their stuff and show off their personalities while competing for the title of Mr. Canyon 2012.

The actual event will happen at 7pm in the main gym on 11-12-2011. Hope to see you there and please hurry to get applications in. The applications need to be submitted by September 30th. Check Canyon's website for details and the application...
