ATTENTION CANYON COWBOYS....Please remember that you must have your school ID with you at all times during the school day and at any school related event.  Having this identification is very important.  Please remember to bring your ID to school EVERY DAY!!!!!

 

THE RENAISSANCE ACADEMIC RALLY will be held on Friday, September 16.

SCHOOL PICTURES ARE HERE.... Please pick yours up in the J bldg before school, brunch, and lunch.

 

ARE YOU A JUNIOR OR SENIOR WHO HASN’T PASSED ONE OR BOTH SECTIONSOF THE CAHSEE?  If so, there are classes being offered after school to help you pass the exam in Nov.  If you need help in English you can attend classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4 pm with Miss.Lamedman in C-3.  If you need help in Math, you can attend classes on Monday and Wednesday from 3-4 pm in G-208 with Mr. Murphy.  Classes have already begun but it’s not too late to go and get extra help.  Remember, you must pass both sections of the CAHSEE to earn a high school diploma. 

HEY KEY CLUBBERS!  The due date for the registration papers has been moved to this

Friday, September 16!!!  Don’t forget to turn in all forms and dues to V-1 during lunch!

 

HEY COWBOYS! Homecoming Tickets are on sale now, $10 with an ASB card and $15 without an ASB card. The first 200 tickets will get a free promo mix cd!! Yes I said a FREE mix cd when you buy your ticket! The dance is on October 1st from 7-11pm in the gym.

 

MOCK SAT AND ACT:  Mock SAT and ACT-- Ok Cowboys- who's stressed out about SATs?  How about the ACT?  Good news- the AVID program is sponsoring a mock SAT and ACT on September 17th, here on Canyon's campus.  It's only $20 (which is almost $30 less than the actual test) and you receive a detailed score report that identifies the areas where you can really improve!  Stop by E5 to see Ms. Jones or register online at revolutionprep.com.  Hurry- space is limited!

 

 

 

MEETINGS

 

SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY is kicking off the new school year tomorrow, September 15th, in D-6 at lunch.  Our meetings are mandatory, so you if you'd like to participate this year, make sure to attend!  Spanish Honor Society is open to all students who have taken or are currently enrolled in Spanish 3 or higher and who have maintained at least a B average in Spanish.

SENIORS

SENIORS:  If you, or one of your parents, has been diagnosed with breast cancer, you might be eligible for a scholarship from the Susan G. Koman college scholarship program.  Scholarships of up to 10,000 dollars will be awarded.  Please see www.komen.org/scholarship for more information.

 

SENIORS: Do you want your senior portrait in the yearbook? Of, course you do!  Time is running out... so call O'Connor photography and schedule your portrait today. If you have any questions about senior portraits see Mr. McCann in T2 or Mrs. Hettema in the counseling office.
