GENERAL

 

BOYS GOING TO PROM: Mr. Tux will be visiting Canyon TODAY to take orders for tuxes. Please bring $10 cash for a deposit and he will take your measurements in F-4 during lunch.

 

YEARBOOKS:  This is your LAST chance to save money on your yearbook. When all your friends are sharing and signing their books in May you won't want to be left out. Yearbooks are available for $90 and $95 in ASB, but only until spring break. Get yours today!

 

ATTENTION ALL COWBOYS!!  Do you want to help the survivors of the Japan earthquake and tsunami?  IMPACT, formerly known as Compassion International, is having a fundraiser at Panda Express on Friday, April 1 from 10:30 a.m.- 10 p.m.  All proceeds will go directly to the cause.  You must bring a flyer with you.  Flyers will be posted all around campus, feel free to take one, or you can pick one up from U-7.  See you there!

COC COMMUNITY EDUCATION offers SUMMER READING SKILLS PROGRAMS to help student improve their reading, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, study skills, speed reading, and develop a love a reading.  For more information call 1.800.978.9596.  For a copy of the class schedule you may come up to the counseling office.

 

ASVAB RESULTS - For all the students who took the ASVAB on March 16th at Canyon it is time to get the results. Please come to the library TODAY at 9 am and your test results will be explained highlighting academic strengths, areas of improvement and potential future vocational options.

 

DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS ARE COMING!!   If you want to try out, your parent or guardian MUST attend a MANDATORY Parent Meeting TONIGHT at 7:00 pm. in the Q-Theater here on campus. See Mrs. Arnold in G-220 if you have any questions."

MEETINGS

 

ANIME CLUB is meeting today in room G-220.

 

STUDENT TASK FORCE:  Is meeting at lunch in room G-201.

 

IMPACT, formerly known as Compassion International, is having a meeting next Friday, April 1 at lunch in U-7.  It’s never too late to join the club!!

SENIORS

 

SCHOLARSHIP:  Seniors, are you interested in studying engineering or environmental studies in college?  There is a scholarship for you.  If you have a 3.0 GPA, please come pick up an application in the counseling office.

 

SCHOLARSHIP:  Seniors, have you been attending school in Santa Clarita for at least 7 years?  If so, there is a scholarship for you!  Additional requirements are at least a 2.5 GPA and application to a trade school, community college, or four year university.  Please stop by the counseling office for an application.  Applications are due to Mrs. Goller by March 31sat.
