ATTENTION STUDENTS: This is your last chance to get a parking permit for this school year. This week ONLY-- for $10, go to ASB Office before school, brunch or lunch to purchase your parking permit. Parking permits are now open to grades 10, 11 and 12.
WINTER FORMAL PICTURES ARE IN ...they can be picked up on the side on the ASB office.
PROM: It's time to start thinking about Prom again!! Tickets will be going on sale for all Senior Fun Pack holders on March 9th for $200 per couple with your ASB card. Tickets will be opened up to all Juniors and Seniors the following Monday, March 14th for the same price. Buy your tickets early to avoid the increase in price.

CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE is going offer a LARGE number Summer Session classes. This wide selection of courses will be available in THREE summer sessions, two of which are six-week sessions and one is a 12-week session. In addition to home-for-the-summer college student and others, qualified high school students may attend. The course list is available at http://tsengcollege.csun.edu/summer.html and more courses will be added as they become available. ON-LINE registration begins on March 28th.

WHAT WILL YOU REMEMBER ABOUT YOUR TIME AT CANYON IN 10 YEARS? Yearbook is now accepting applications for the 2012 staff. We are looking for creative and motivated freshman and sophomores to join our team. Yearbook is a fun, but demanding class that will challenge your skills in many areas... We need photographers, writers, designers, and anyone motivated to learn the yearbook trade. See your counselor or Mr. McCann in the T building to get an application today.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAMS: AP students will receive AP Exam Registration information starting on Thursday, March 4, 2011. AP Exam registration will start March 7th and run through March 18th, 1:00 PM. Students may register before school, brunch or during lunch in the ASB office. The fee for each test is $88, unless the student participates in the free or reduced lunch program. Students can see Mrs. Shwamb in the Health office to learn about this program. Don’t forget to sign up!!!
NO LATE REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED
THE ASVAB will be given at Canyon on Wednesday, March 16 from 8 am through Lunch and is available for free to all Canyon Students. The ASVAB can be a valuable tool to understand areas of personal strength and areas to focus on improvement as well as a vocational assessment. Successful completion of the ASVAB comes with no strings attached and it is only once a student is out of high school that the ASVAB is taken purely as a military assessment and placement tool as part of the process to enter the military. Sign-ups will be in the Counseling Officer starting on February 24th, 2011.
