WHAT WILL YOU REMEMBER ABOUT YOUR TIME AT CANYON IN 10 YEARS?  Yearbook is now accepting applications for the 2012 staff. We are looking for creative and motivated freshman and sophomores to join our team. Yearbook is a fun, but demanding class that will challenge your skills in many areas... We need photographers, writers, designers, and anyone motivated to learn the yearbook trade. See your counselor or Mr. McCann in the T building to get an application today.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAMS:  AP students will receive AP Exam Registration information starting on Thursday, March 4, 2011.  AP Exam registration will start March 7th and run through March 18th, 1:00 PM.  Students may register before school, brunch or during lunch in the ASB office.  The fee for each test is $88, unless the student participates in the free or reduced lunch program.  Students can see Mrs. Shwamb in the Health office to learn about this program.  Don’t forget to sign up!!!

NO LATE REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED

THE ASVAB will be given at Canyon on Wednesday, March 16 from 8 am through Lunch and is available for free to all Canyon Students. The ASVAB can be a valuable tool to understand areas of personal strength and areas to focus on improvement as well as a vocational assessment. Successful completion of the ASVAB comes with no strings attached and it is only once a student is out of high school that the ASVAB is taken purely as a military assessment and placement tool as part of the process to enter the military. Sign-ups will be in the Counseling Officer starting on February 24th, 2011.
