GENERAL

HEY COWBOYS—FINALS ARE JUST AROUND THE CORNER.  Here is the schedule:

Tuesday, December 14--- finals are periods 4 and 5

Wednesday, December 15 --- finals are periods 3 and 6

Thursday, December 16 --- finals are periods 2, 7 and 1

NO STUDENT SUMMONS DURING FINAL EXAMS:  STUDENTS please note, there are NO student summons delivered during Final Exams.  Please do NOT call your parents and ask them to excuse you early for any reason.  The Attendance Office WILL NOT deliver student summons during Final Exams to remove you from class.  ALL students need to stay during the entire final exam period out of respect for all the other classes in exams. 

LIBRARY:  The Library will close Friday, December 3 at 2:30. 

HART DISTRICT NCAA INFORMATIONAL MEETING TONIGHT, DECEMBER 2nd 6:30 @ HART HIGH:  This informational meeting is conducted by Dave LeBarron and will be held at the Hart High school auditorium starting promptly at 6:30 pm.  Information will be presented regarding graduation requirements, UC and CSU college entrance requirements, recruiting and eligibility for Division I, II, III and NAIA.  All athletes wanting to participate in collegiate athletics should attend.

SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRESS REPORTS:  If you would like to receive a supplemental progress report, please see Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office between 7:30am and 8:00am Friday morning to pick one up.  If you have a 7:00am class, you may pick one up today after your last class.

SOCCO begin's today at Lunch in the Main gym.  If you have a team that is signed up to play, please show up to the gym today at Lunch.

WANT SOME FRO-YO?  Go to Menchies from 11 am to 11 pm today.  No flyer needed just say you are supporting Canyon Band.

ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT A PROFESSION IN ENGINEERING?  How about trying the ROP - Exploring Engineering Technology.   Stop by the ROP office to see Mrs. Gaines to sign up.

CAN’T THINK OF SOMETHING TO BUY THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE?  Or maybe just a good friend?  Holiday Grams are going on sale!  You can buy them through any ASB member or look for the ASB tables outside of ASB and on the Outdoor Stage, during brunch or lunch!  You must buy them by Wednesday, December 8.  They are $3 and include a candy cane, balloon, and your own personal note and will be delivered on Friday, December 10.

BOYS TENNIS TEAM TRY-OUTS are NOW to Dec 3rd. at the tennis courts from

3:00-4:30. If you don't have a tennis racquet come out anyway.

CANYONS AWESOME THEATRE:  Don't miss the theatre department's fall play "You Can't Take it With You." It's the perfect family comedy for the holidays. Performances are Thurs, and Fri at 7 PM in the Q-Theatre. Tickets are $10 or $8 with/ASB card.

ATTENTION CURRENT ROP STUDENTS:  Do you need extra ROP class hours?  Then consider attending the upcoming ROP workshop titled "Marketing YOU for Success" which will be held on Dec. 3rd from 4-7 pm at the SCV Activities Center.  Learn the tools to market yourself while earning ROP credits.  See your ROP advisor or your teacher for an entrance ticket.  

ROTC is selling wristbands for $3.  See any ROTC Cadet for details.

ATTENTION ALL ATHLETES:

-          All lockers need to be cleaned out no later than Thursday December 16^th by 10:30 am

-          of 7^th period.

-          All items left in the lockers will be emptied and donated to Goodwill that same day and will not have the ability to be returned to students.

-          Physical Education Teachers are not responsible for any student items left in lockers after the locker clean out deadline.

-        Please clean out all trash, clothing, personal items, and your lock. 

-          Locker room use will NOT be available after 10:30 am. 

-          LOCKER CLEANOUTS will occur at the END of each semester.

-          Sport lockers will be REISSUED at the start of the second semester. 

MEETINGS

OPERATION US needs to meet Wednesday Dec.8. Room E-3 at lunch. We have two quick presentations upon our return from winter break and need to get them organized. See you Dec. 8 at lunch.

COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL:  There will be a meeting on Thursday, December 9 in U-7 at lunch.  Remember it is never too late to join the club—so bring your friends.  See you there!
