GENERAL

CIF FOOTBALL:  Hey Cowboys!!!  Cowboy Football has a CIF Playoff game here at Canyon TONIGHT at 7:30.  Since this is a post-season game, no ASB cards, Student, Child or Adult are valid.  Hart School District Employee ID and Foothill League passes are also not honored.  The cost is $8 for Adults and Seniors, and $5 for high school students and children 13 and younger.  Our ASB Office is selling them before school, brunches and lunch.  Buy your ticket in advance to avoid standing in line Friday night.

THE BOY’S BASKETBALL PROGRAM is looking for managers for their upcoming basketball season.  The managerial duties consist of, video taping, score-keeping, practice management and game setups.  If you are interested, please see Coach Phillips for more information. 

AVID Applications-- Do you want to attend a 4-year college after high school?  Are you interested in joining the district recognized Canyon High AVID program?  If you're a freshman or sophomore, we have a spot for you!  You just need to stop by E5 to see Ms. Jones, who will give you an application.  Hurry- time is limited!  You must see her by the 24th of November! 

HOT Club!  Guess what Canyon kids?  The HOT Club is sponsoring a night at Panda Express on Via Princessa TONIGHT from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm.   Come by E5 to see Ms. Jones and grab a flier- support HOT Club TONIGHT! 

BOOK CLUB:  We will be discussing the first 103 pages of Hunger Games on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at lunch in H1.  If you have read the book and would like to join in on the discussion please feel free to come to our meeting.

ROTC is selling wristbands for $3.00.  See any ROTC Cadet for details.

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Would you like to work in the library next semester?  What do you do, you ask?  You check in/out books to students, shelve books, process magazines and a variety of other tasks.  If you are interested in being a Teacher's Assistant in the library, please come and see Mrs. Limbaugh in the library.

MENCHIES:  Come support COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL on Monday, November 22, and Tuesday, November 23.  No flyer needed—just say you are supporting Canyon’s Compassion International Club.

THE LIT MAGAZINE IS STILL ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS!  Please bring your short stories, poems, drawings or pictures to Ms. Feix in C4 for consideration.  Ask your English or art teacher for more information.

MEETINGS

MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB:  There is a mountain bike club meeting TODAY in B-6 at lunch.

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and other board games will meet in G-127 at lunch.  Bring your lunch, skill, enthusiasm and play/ learn the game of Kings and Queens.  Questions, please see Mr. Clark

SENIORS

DIPLOMA NAME FORMS:  If you did not receive the Diploma Name Form in your Govt. or Econ class, please pick one up from Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office.  Please complete, and return to Mrs. Hettema as soon as possible.  This will help to insure the correct spelling of your name on your diploma.

SENIORS:  You can still order your Cap & Gown, Announcements, and Class Ring.  Jostens will be back on campus for a make-up order on…………Monday, Nov. 22^nd--During Brunches “only”--    Outdoor STAGE

Ordering information is available in the ASB Office NOW!!!  Be prepared to bring your completed order form and down payment on this day.  DON'T FORGET EVERY SENIOR MUST TURN IN THEIR CAP & GOWN SIZES!

Remember … Seniors ordering their Class Ring along with any of the 7 Canyon GRAD packages will receive their Cap & Gown for FREE!  See your catalog for details.
