GENERAL

NO SCHOOL THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 11 AND FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12.  HAVE A FUN, SAFE

4-DAY WEEKEND. 

COWBOY FOOTBALL:  Come out and support Cowboy football Thursday, November 11, here at Canyon.    JV plays at 4:00 and Varsity plays at 7:30. 

RENAISSANCE CARD HOLDERS!!  Hey all you canyon students time to pull out those rusty Renaissance cards and come to J-1 today at brunch to get free dippin dots. See you there!

HEALTH OFFICE:  Students PLEASE DO NOT call or text your parents from a classroom or on campus to tell them you don’t feel well.  GET A PASS FROM YOUR TEACHER TO GO TO THE HEALTH OFFICE.  Mrs. Schwamb will call your parents from the Health Office. 

BOOK CLUB:  If you ordered a copy of Hunger Games, please bring $4 to Mrs. Limbaugh in the library and you can pick up your book.  Book Club will meet on Tuesday to discuss In the Path of Falling Objects.  We will meet with the author on Tuesday, Nov. 16.  We will meet in H1 during lunch.  See you there.

CLUB PHOTO DAYS: Monday Nov 15th and Thursday the 18th are club photo days. This is your ONE opportunity to have your club photo taken for the yearbook.  Photos will be taken at the designated times. If you are late you will not be included in the photo.  Please check the photo day schedule with your club advisor or see the schedule on bulletin boards around the school.

JUICE IT UP:  Go to Juice It Up today from 12 noon to 6 p.m. to help make this year’s Prom amazing.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION!  Wednesday Nov. 24th in all PE classes we will be running the Turkey Delight 1.5 mile fun run!  Over these next two weeks collect donations from your family and friends to help support your run.  Donation awards are given at the 5, 10 and 20 dollar donation mark.  Big surprise for the top fund-raising class.  All proceeds go to supporting the physical education classes with needed equipment and supplies to make student experience even better.  Turn in all donations to any PE teacher between NOW and Nov. 24th.  See you on run day!

SUPPORT THE DANCE TEAM on TODAY by eating at Ameci's. Just mention Canyon when you go!

THE LIT MAGAZINE IS STILL ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS!  Please bring your short stories, poems, drawings or pictures to Ms. Feix in C4 for consideration.  Ask your English or art teacher for more information.

SAVE the DATE! Saturday, December 4th, CANYON HIGH will be having a Holiday Boutique from 9am to 2pm.  The Boutique will be in H-1 and the ROP office.  Come join the fun with these great vendors! 

MEETINGS

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and other board games will meet in G-127 at lunch.  Bring your lunch, skill, enthusiasm and play/ learn the game of Kings and Queens.  Questions, please see Mr. Clark

KEY CLUB:  There is a General meeting on November 10.  There will be exec board interviews on November 11 at 7 a.m at Todd Longshore Park.

COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL:  There is a meeting TODAY at lunch in U-7.

OPERATION US: We will be meeting on Tuesday November 16th at lunch in E3.  Don't forget your completed Valley View permission slip! We will be preparing for our upcoming presentation.
