ALL CANYON STUDENTS are reminded that when we have minimum day, they may NOT visit other campuses, including
CANYON FOOTBALL GAMES: Hey Cowboys!! Here are a few reminders to students –once you enter the football game and leave YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER. If you need a jacket, blanket, hat, etc. make sure you bring them in with you when you arrive at the game. SKATEBOARDS AND SCOOTERS are NOT ALLOWED in the stadium or in the parking lot. ALL BALLS --- FOOTBALLS, BASEBALLS, BASKETBALLS, AND TENNIS BALLS ETC. ARE NOT ALLOWED-- DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU— all balls will be confiscated!! Since this is a school sponsored event, the Canyon High School DRESS CODE will be strictly enforced. ANY inappropriate attire (clothing, accessories, or headgear) will result in entrance refusal and possible removal if non-compliant. Body paint and noise makers are also not allowed. Thank you for your co-operation.
COWBOYS: Quit daydreaming and come to the Homecoming Dance October 30 in the gym. Tickets are on sale starting today in the ASB Office. With an ASB Card the cost is $12 a person, without ASB cost is $15 per person, cost at the door is $20 per person. If you are bringing a guest that does not go to Canyon, the deadline to turn in the paperwork is Friday, October 22.
THEATRE: The children's theatre class presents "The Tale of Snow White" this Saturday October 23rd at 12 PM and 2 PM. Tickets are $5 or $3 with ASB. Don't miss this hysterical adaptation of the classic story!

HARMONY FOR HUMANITY--On Sunday, October 24th, Harmony for Humanity, a Daniel Pearl World Music Days event will be hosted for the first time in Santa Clarita. This is an international network of concerts using the power of music to reaffirm commitment to tolerance and humanity and international friendship. In addition, the Harmony for Humanity commemorates the life of Daniel Pearl. Daniel Pearl was a Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in
WANT TO SEE YOUR CREATIVE TALENT IN PRINT? Canyon's Art and Lit Magazine is now accepting submissions! We are looking for artwork, photography, poems and short stories that represent this year's theme "Crossroads." Prizes will be awarded for the best artwork and best piece of writing. Submission forms are available from your art or English teacher, or in C4. Please see Ms. Feix in C4 if you have any questions.

ATTENTION STUDENTS: It's time to participate in the Letters About Literature program. All you need to do is write a letter to the author of a book that has really affected you in some manner. The letter needs to be between 500 - 800 words. Your letter should inform rather than flatter the author. Entry guidelines and entry forms can be downloaded from the Internet at: www.loc.gov/letters. For more information, contact Mrs. Limbaugh in the library. Letters must be in Mrs. Limbaugh's hands by November 24 and she will be glad to mail the letters for you.

Discover USC DAY is Sunday, November 21, 1-4pm is their fall Open House Event. Please contact them for more details.
USC Roski School of Fine Arts is looking for talented students who want to be artists and designers. They are offering both BA and BFA programs in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography, Digital Media, and Design. They are offering a special Portfolio Day Sunday November, 21, 1-4pm in conjunction with Discover USC DAY. Families can tour the campus and meet the faculty, and students can have their portfolios reviewed.
