CANYON WILL BE HOSTING the Stand-Up Diversity Interactive Assembly on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 7 pm in the A-Lecture Hall. It is an amazing program that helps individuals gain a deeper understanding of Diversity Issues and how to change stereotypes while increasing campus and community cohesiveness across color and orientation lines. We are very limited in attendance due to the nature of the performance and its effectiveness being based on its interactive nature. Directed by Brian Jeffrey, teacher at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and presented as an interactive play by 18 high school students this presentation has been nationally recognized numerous times and recently received the National Education Association's Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Award for commitment to bringing students and the community together.
