GENERAL

 

PROGRESS REPORTS:   Students, please bring your ID card and come pick up your Progress Report cards from the AP office at brunch, lunch, or after school.

 

PARKING PERMITS: This is the LAST DAY to purchase a Parking Permit.  The next time to purchase a parking permit isn’t until February 1, 2011.

 

BOOK CLUB’S next meeting will be on Oct. 12 during lunch in H1.  We are reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.  For the next meeting please read to page 238.  Bring your lunch and we'll see you there.

 

 

 

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR COLLEGE 2 CAREER DAY on October 9, 2010 from 9 am to 1 pm at College of the Canyons. The event will showcase certificate and degree programs available at COC that can lead to well paid jobs following graduation. In addition, a college fair will also be taking place with over 30 local and out-of-state schools represented.

 

MEETINGS

 

MOUNTAIN BIKE CLUB:  Hey Cowboys, Are you looking for a heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping activity that will be fun AND get you in amazing shape?  West Ranch, Golden Valley and other high schools already have clubs together…Now its Canyon’s turn.  This club is open to both boys and girls, so if you are interested in finding out more about the Mountain Bike Club come to the meeting TODAY at lunch in B-6.   See you there. 

 

There will be a LITERATURE MAGAZINE MEETING today at lunch in C4.  Anyone who is interested in creative writing, art, photography or graphic design is welcome.

 

NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY will meet on Thursday Oct. 7th at lunch in room T4.

 

SENIORS

 

CSU COLLEGE APPLICATION WORKSHOP: Attention Seniors: The CSU Application Window will be opening October 1st and it's time to get prepared. The CSU Application Workshop will take place on October 1, 2010 from 5th period through lunch and will cover the Application Process, CSU Mentor and give a quick overview of CSU Northridge. This workshop is for seniors only and you must sign up in the counseling office and have your 5th period teacher sign your permission slip.
