GENERAL

 

FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT!!!   Here at Canyon against Highland. $8 without ASB. Free with ASB card.    

 

CANYON FOOTBALL GAMES: Hey Cowboys!!  Here are a few reminders to students –once you enter the football game and leave YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER.  If you need a jacket, blanket, hat, etc. make sure you bring them in with you when you arrive at the game.  SKATEBOARDS AND SCOOTERS are NOT ALLOWED in the stadium or in the parking lot.  ALL BALLS --- FOOTBALLS, BASEBALLS, BASKETBALLS, AND TENNIS BALLS ETC. ARE NOT ALLOWED-- DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU all balls will be confiscated!!  Since this is a school sponsored event, the Canyon High School DRESS CODE will be strictly enforced.  ANY inappropriate attire (clothing, accessories, or headgear) will result in entrance refusal and possible removal if non-compliant.  Body paint and noise makers are also not allowed.  Thank you for your co-operation. 

 

JUNIORS!! Your officers need you help with this year's Homecoming float! There is a meeting Tuesday, at lunch, in room F4. Bring your friends!!!

 

TODAY at Lunch come to the outdoor stage for a lunch time activity!!!!!

 

WANT SOME FRO-YO?  Band is having a weekly fundraiser at Menchies EVERY Thursday from

11:00 a.m.  To 11:00 p.m.  NO FLYER NEEDED!   Just say you are supporting the Canyon Band. Go get your FRO-YO!

 

ADULT/YOUTH ASB CARDS: The Adult ASB cards purchased at the football game are in the ASB office.

 

SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY:  Attention all Spanish Honor Society members:  If you missed signing up for your required Tutoring Tuesday/Thursday hours, your last opportunity to sign up is this Thursday, 9/14, in room D-2 at lunch.  The sign-ups for tutoring at Sierra Vista has been postponed.  We will inform you SOON of the new date to sign up! 

 

Are you a young woman who is interested in being a Fire Fighter?  If so, come to the CFFJAC Firefighter Expo Saturday October 2nd from 10 am to 2 pm, 626 N. NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY meeting TODAY at Lunch in room T4. All members must attend & new members are welcome.

 

ATTENTION ALL ENVIRONMENTALLY AWARE COWBOYS! LEAF CLUB IS BACK AND UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! MR. MOTHERSPAW WILL BE OUR NEW ADVISOR! COME TO AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING THIS FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH IN ROOM F! EVERYONE IS WELCOME. WE NEED 10 NEW MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE IN FOOD DAY, SO COME ON OUT AND JOIN! SNACKS WILL BE PROVIDED! SEE YOU THERE!

 

SENIORS

 

UC Application Workshop  - Attention Seniors: The UC Application Window is opening November 1st and it's time to get prepared. There will be a UC Application Workshop on September 17, 2010 starting 5th period and running until lunch; this workshop will focus on the Application, Personal Statement and give a quick overview of UC Merced.  Students need to sign up in the Counseling Office and bring their signed permission slip to the meeting in the Library in order to attend.

 

SENIOR BOYS!!!! Do you think you have what it takes to be this years MR CANYON????  Pick up your application outside the ASB office. they are due THIS FRIDAY!

 

FREE COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP - Mick Endersbe brings his 20 years of Educational Financial Planning Experience to Canyon with a free workshop at 7 pm on October 13 in the Library.  This workshop will focus on Cost/Value analysis, how to research aid, Fed. Tax programs and will include a Q&A session.
