GENERAL

 

ALL STUDENTS:  If you have dropped or changed a class, please return the textbook for that class.  Other students may be waiting for your book.  Also remember, damage waiver forms are due back by Friday September 10th.  If you have any questions contact Mrs. Kulesz in the textbook center.

 

ID CARDS:  If you have not gotten your ID card for this year, come to the textbook center during brunch or lunch to get one.  Please bring a copy of your schedule with you.

 

WANT SOME FRO-YO?  Band is having a weekly fundraiser at Menchies EVERY Thursday from

11:00 a.m.  To 11:00 p.m.  NO FLYER NEEDED!   Just say you are supporting the Canyon Band. Go get your FRO-YO!

 

CSF - Completed applications are to be handed in to C8 this week at lunch only, CSF business will be handled at no other time of the day but lunch.   Remember, you must have all required items for your application to be accepted.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Do you enjoy books?  Do you enjoy talking?  Combine the two and come to the Book Club meeting this Thursday during lunch in the library.  We will discuss what day we want to meet and with which book to start off the year.  Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to see Mrs. Limbaugh in the library.

 

FREE SAT PREP CLASS:  11th and 12th graders are invited to sign up for the Tier One SAT Prep Class being held at Canyon on Wednesdays for 6 weeks beginning September 1st.  The only cost is $75 for materials that you get to keep.  Don't miss out on this great opportunity!  Watch your SAT test scores improve dramatically over this 6-week course.  Pick up a flyer from the Counseling or AP office.  Deadline to register is this Thursday, August 26.

 

STUDENT ID CARDS: Anyone who has not gotten an ID card for this school year must go to the textbook center to get one.  Please bring your copy of your schedule with you.  The textbook center is open to make ID's during brunch, lunch and after school until 3:30.

 

STUDENT PARKING PERMITS: Only seniors may buy from 8/16 - 8/27

                          Passes are open to all juniors starting 8/30 $20.  Pick up paperwork outside ASB office, parent signature, and proof of registration and insurance.

 

MEETINGS

 

SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY:  We will have our first mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in D2.  You must attend in order to be considered to be a member of the club.  Be on time!!!  See you there! ¡Hasta pronto muchachos!

HEY KEY CLUBBERS:  Key Club is having its first general meeting TODAY in the A-Lecture hall at lunch for new members, recruited members  and any members who missed Tuesday’s meeting.  Remember hours are due for old members.  You have until September 3 to turn them in. 

 

OPERATION US will hold its first meeting at lunch, Wednesday Sept. 1 in room E-3. Operation US is one of the longest running clubs on campus. Its purpose is to have high school students train elementary students in ways to show respect, understanding and tolerance for others. It will not only teach you presentation skills and give you a great deal of personal satisfaction, but it is also good or community service hours. Hope to see you Wednesday. SAT CLASSES STARTING AUGUST 28th-- Seniors!  It's time to get those SAT scores up for college applications!  Juniors- get started early!  Revolution Prep will hold an SAT prep class here on campus starting August 28th taught by our very own Ms. Jones.  Questions?  Visit revolutionprep.com or stop by to see her in E5 as soon as you can!
